our love is dahlia, oh
❖
dawon's eyes widened as she was in shock from what she heard from xukun. "w-what?"
looking down while keeping his grip on the gun, he replied, "she is pregnant with mr. jung's baby."
"xukun, i want you to lock every door and window, i also want all of you to guard any entrance," hoseok ordered.
xukun nodded, leaving to do what he was ordered to do, taking the gun with him.
"let's all take a seat," hoseok mumbled as he made jisoo sit. jisoo obliged. dawon walked over and sat in front of jisoo while hoseok sat next to jisoo.
"i am sorry," dawon apologized as she looked at the carpet floor.
"i would rather hear who you two are instead of your apologies," jisoo replied, coldly.
hoseok sighed, "what do you want to know?"
"everything. i don't know anything about dawon and your parents, i only know about your childhood."
"then you already know how i was treated?"
she nodded slowly before replying. "i also know that you are involved with the disappearance of lalisa, chaeyoung, and jennie. but i want to know what you did with them and what you do that you're usually gone for business."
hoseok closed his eyes. "i don't have the most lovable parents. they never once smiled. my father, jung heechul, was also mistreated as a child which caused him to have a cold personality growing up."
"when i was born, my father was upset, he did not want his first child to be a female," dawon confessed as her hands turned into fists. "our parents never once said i love you, they believed it showed weakness. and they wanted me to be ruthless and heartless as them. it continued like that for four years, until hoseok was born."
looking up at jisoo, dawon continued, "i was for once happy, i wasn't alone anymore, but i also was in fear of what they would do to him. for the next four years, i tried to give my brother lots of love that he did not receive from our parents, but it all changed the day before his birthday."
"that day was the day they made it clear that i was not their child," hoseok mumbled as he looked at his lap. "they took four hours to arrive. i was still in a critical state and they did not care, they forced the doctors to discharge me to take me to a mental asylum."
"why didn't you do anything?" jisoo looked over at dawon as she asked.
"i was only eight, i couldn't do anything, they had forced me into a religious school."
"i was stuck in the mental asylum until i was 17. i was there for thirteen years. it was horrible, but that's where i met my first friend."
"who?" jisoo questioned.
hoseok looked up at jisoo, answering, "jimin-ah."
"wait, jimin was also part of that?"
hoseok nodded. "he was my roommate. i was only 5, and he was 4. i feared what would happen to him, so i tried to protect him by taking half of the experiments and projects he would be part of. he spent twelve years in that place."
jisoo wondered if that's why jimin was so cold.
"it wasn't the same as time grew, he became cold. once we had been 'discharged' from the mental asylum, i kept in touch with him for some time, but it was rarely," hoseok began to trail off as he looked down.
"what happened?" jisoo asked.
"a year after that, my parents made me befriend lalisa manoban," hoseok replied.
"what for?" jisoo was confused as to why his parents wanted that.
"for her beauty. you see, our mother made us have an obsession with beauty. she always wanted us to be perfect, lalisa was young and beautiful and our mother wanted us to marry people who were also perfect," dawon explained.
"after two years, lalisa was 16, and she trusted me, which made my mother glad. but that changed quickly once she found out that she would be marrying jungkook," hoseok added.
"my mother decided to wait a year before she kidnapped her. at that time, i didn't know. until my mother told me that i would be marrying lalisa," hoseok continued. "i, of course, didn't tell anyone. i didn't even try to do anything when my father disciplined lalisa. they had threatened me, saying they would take me back to the asylum."
"after a year, my mother had enough and killed her," hoseok confessed. jisoo gasped as she covered her mouth.
"my mother preserved her by taking the blood out and her organs," dawon remembered how her mother acted as if it was a normal thing.
"why didn't you do anything?" jisoo asked.
"i was afraid. afraid of my parents. afraid they would take me back," hoseok sighed. "i was a coward. after four months, i met chaeyoung, and i sincerely loved her. she made me happy. eight months into our relationship, i then asked her to be my wife."
hoseok softly smiled as he remembered the memories he shared with her. "my mother didn't approve at all. chaeyoung was beautiful, but she was poor, in her opinion."
"even though she didn't approve, she let her stay, but she ended up torturing her," hoseok put his hands against his face. "but she killed her."
"what happened to jennie?"
"jennie is dead as well," dawon replied. "i killed her."
