The loud music coming from the speaker stopped, signaling the end of the play list. Jimin panted and dropped to the floor as the last bit of energy he had gave up. The dancing studio was quiet except for Jimin's loud breathing. He didn't know how long he'd been there but since he came to the studio he had danced to almost hundred songs. He laid down on the cold floor hoping it would help the dizziness he was feeling. Rubbing his sweaty hand on his too hot forehead, he closed his eyes.
"What if I don't want to move on without you? " Jungkook's voice echoed in his head.
"Did I do something wrong?" "Jiminnie!?"
Jungkook's innocent eyes were staring at Jimin and Jimin couldn't take it anymore.. He opened his eyes and sat up, too fast, that his exhausted self almost passed out. He slowly put his head between his leg.
Dancing had helped Jimin to keep Jungkook out of his head so far but even Jimin couldn't dance for so long. Every muscle on his body screamed from pain. While his body begged him to take some rest his mind threatened to keep dancing, to keep himself busy so he wouldn't break down mentally. He was tired of crying.
Jimin saw his phone light up from the corner of his eyes. It has been going off since the morning but Jimin had ignored it. He knew he should pick up the phone and let his members know where he was.
"I am born to make people worry. Such a useless brat." He murmured under his breath. Jimin knew that If Jungkook was there, he'd disagree with Jimin and tell him how precious Jimin was but Jungkook was not there, He was at the dorm, sad and worried, because of Jimin. End of the argument. He really was fucking useless.
Jimin slowly got to his feet and walked up to the place where he'd left his phone. On the way he took a glimpse of himself from the mirror and wondered what did Jungkook ever see in him.
He almost dropped his phone to the floor when he saw that it was not one of his members but his mother calling. Jimin took the phone with him to the end of the room and sat down, resting his back to the wall. He watched while the phone rang and the call came to an end. He was not ready to talk to his mother. Hearing her voice, he wouldn't be able to hold it any longer.
After the call ended the phone vibrated adding one more text to his already piled up inbox. He sighed and opened the message his mom had sent him.
"Kookie called earlier. He sounded really upset. Now you are not picking up your phone. Should I be worried, son?"
The thing was Jimin's mom knew about them.
Jimin's mind ran to that afternoon when his mom walked in on them accidentally. It was the Christmas holidays in 2016 and Jungkook had come to stay with Jimin's family for one night. They were messing around in Jimin's room when Jimin's mom entered the room with the laundry. Both boys had become so frightened that none could move. Jimin was practically on Jungkook's lap when Jimin mom had locked the door and calmly asked them for the truth.
Jimin was the first to move from the bed. He kneeled in front of his mother, begging for her to not to hate him while Jungkook watched him with his mouth open. A moment later Jungkook joined him at the floor, explaining to Jimin's mom how it's all his fault and not Jimin's.
She lowered herself to their level and wiped the tears from both of their frightened faces.
"A mother can never hate her children no matter what." She had said in the kindest voice that only made Jimin cry harder.
"Do you guys love each other?" She had wanted to know and both Jimin and Jungkook had replied in a breath.
"Yes."
"More than anything."
Jimin's mother looked at them smiling softly and at that moment Jimin knew he had the best mother in the world, because she didn't look disgusted or angry, she just looked like a mother who was ready to accept her son in any way he was.
