CHAPTER FIVEWhat a place!
The view from the glass wall was amazing. I couldn't believe my eyes. How was this even possible?
I took two or three steps when someone called my name."Miss Magoa?"
I turned around to see.
"Yeah, it's Magoa herself.""Follow me." The tall beautiful woman dressed in a formal outfit said.
I did what she told me and we reached a giant door."You're finally here" she said as she turned my way. "I was waiting for you."
"Who do I have the pleasure to meet?" I askes as politely as I could.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't introduce myself. You can call me Miss Granny. I'm your "conseiller", and this is your new room. Here you'll find everything you need and if you need help I'll be next door. Just ring the bell and I'll come here." She said with a sweet voice and then left me alone in that huge room.

Tired as hell, I tumbled to the bathroom. I checked my reflection in the mirror. The haunted eyes and dark circles underneath them made the long, drawn-in face almost unrecognizable. I waved my hand and the reflection waved back.
"Good" I sighed, "I'm still me."
The door knocked.
"Come in" I screamed."Miss Magoa, the masters want to meet you and the others in the "check room", please be ready by 5."
I had never seen her, but she surely was one of the maids in this place.
I heard what she said, but did I understand anything? NO. So I ringed the bell and I found Miss Granny in my room in less than 30 seconds."Miss Granny, I need help. Someone came and told me to get ready by 5 because we're going in the check room but I don't even know what to do. What am I supposed to wear?"
She smiled, approached the closet, opened it and VOILA..."Here, everything's yours.
Since it's dinner I think a dress would be nice. Take this. What do you think?"She handed me an astonishing sleek red dress with a cut at the end of it. I fell in love. I had never worn anything that pretty and I couldn't wait to try it on.
"And now we're ready" Ms Granny said as she did the last touch on my make up. "You look wonderful dear."
"Thanks Miss Granny, for everything"
"I'm just doing my work, baby. Come on now, put the heels on otherwise you're going to be late."
***
We entered a room with "million dollars" gold furnitures. I sat on one of the chairs looking around the place which continued to fill with people dressed nicely.
"Can you help me?" I heard someone say behind me.
I immediately turned around to see who was "crying for help".
"Your dress... It's ruined." I said as I was staring at her white dress which wasn't that white anymore.
"I know, I can't find my "conseiller" and I'm struggling with that outfit. Please help me! The meeting's about to start and I'm not ready. I'll be kicked out if you don't."
"What can I do for you?" I asked surprised.
"It's easy. Give me one of your dresses. You, people of Diadem have way more money than us. I don't think it's going to cost you anything if you hand me one of yours for just one night."
"Diadem?" I laughed. "I'm from Nyctophilia. Even the dress I'm wearing is borrowed. But I think my conseiller can help you."
"Oh God. You've got the beauty and the stance of someone royal this is why I thought you weren't from here. Where's your conseiller?"
I looked around. I couldn't find Miss Grandy with my eyes.
"She was with me some moments ago, where did she go?" I asked not expecting an answer. "Anyways, come with me. I'll help you.""Life saver." She said smiling and we two approached the door.
In my room.
"Ok, here's everything I have. Take whatever you want." I told her as I was opening the closet."Girl, I'm jealous!" She said. "Your dresses are way prettier than mines. I think this would work." She said as she took a black tight dress.
Black looked wonderful on her. It matched her. She was a ginger. As we were running on the corridor to go to the meeting, I asked her
"What's your name?""Dior."
"That's special" i said.
"And what's yours?"
"Magoa."
"Well, i think yours is more." She said blinking.
We opened the door and entered. The check room now was full and the meeting was about to start. We sat down, happy even though we were gasping.
