"Winner 1"

My friends and Ms Windy were waiting outside.
As soon as they turned to face me, Nick ran and gave me a huge hug.

"My queen, you're amazing!" he said.

I smiled. I had known him for only one day and he was telling me that I'm amazing. I've known myself for almost 18 years and I never once have said that to myself. Anyways, he made me smile.
Dior and Ms Windy had smiles on their face too. After Nick, Dior came and kissed me on both cheeks.

"You did a wonderful job!" she said.

I turned to face Ms Windy.

"Guys, thank you all so much but I don't anderstand why are you saying these words. You're acting as if we have won the competition." I said. Confused.

"True. We haven't yet, but we're in a bright place now." said Ms Windy as she approached and touched me on my cheek. " You won the first challenge. Keep doing this way and soon we'll be the winners."

So that was it. I couldn't remember anything and each time I tried to remember my head would ache.

"She can't remember that because of the strong medicine and its effects. But soon her ache will stop and she'll be safe and sound." said the woman in white with a genuine smile. Some minutes ago she was with me in the room. She must be a nurse. When I was younger, I wanted to be a nurse too. But now, everything had changed. I didn't have any dream except to never go to Nyctophilia again.

"Come on we have to get ready. Let's get back to business. The score meeting is happening in half and hour and we need to be there." said Ms Windy clapping her hands.

"You're right. We're the winners, aren't we? Let's go there and show them who are the best." said Dior with a big smile as she hit me gently in my back. How happy were they. Amazing.

"You guys go, I'll come back later." said Nick and he left.

Ms Windy, Dior and I left the building and were headed to our rooms. Venetus is huge. Probably most wonderful thing I have ever seen.

As we said goodbye to Ms Windy who was staying in the room next to ours, me and Dior entered our room and I threw myself in the bed.

"I'm so tired, man. I'd give everything to fall asleep now, but we have to go to the meeting."

"Being a champion is exchausting, isn't it?" said Dior. "Come on get up now," she approached her hand to help me stand up, "we have to get ready Ms Intelligent."

She made me laugh really hard.

"Ms Intelligent?" I asked in between laughing.

"Yes." she said with genuine smile and turned around to open the closet. "Other than Ms Intelligent today you have to be Ms Beauty too, because all eyes will be on you. So go and wear this."

She handed me a grey short tight dress with long sleeves. It was casual but with the black jacket and leather boots it would look so good. She really knew what fashion was and I loved her for that. And for so many other reasons.

After we got ready Ms Windy knocked and we headed to the room where we went the first time.
Here started everything. Here I met Nick and Dior for the first time. Here I learned the rules of the competition and here I was coming back as a winner.
That sounded like those things happened long ago but they had happened the day before.
For only one day here in Venetus I had made so many friends and I had accompolished way more than I had for 18 years in Nctophilia.

"Oh, look there's Nick!" said Dior as she was waving to make him notice her.

"Why that excited?" I mocked her as I blinked to Ms Windy.

"Magoa, shut up!" said Dior. "He's coming."

"Why are my ladies laughing?" asked Nick as he hug me and Dior with his hands.

"Nick, did you finish the job you had to do?" asked Ms Windy.

"Yes, now I'm in your disposition ladies." he said with a cute smile.

I could feel eyes on me. People were staring at me and they were murmuring some things. I had never been the center of attention and I didn't knew how to act.

"I'm nervous. All those eyes on me. I can't wait for that to fimish so I can go back to my room."

"The introvert blessed us with her presence but I would beg her to leave us alone at least for today." said Dior as she touched my shoulders gently, and with the introvert she meant the shy side of me. "Look, all these people see you and they think that you're amazing, Ms Intelligence." and she directed her hands towards all the eyes that were staring at me.

"Stop making hand gestures, " I said, " I don't want more eyes on me."

"Magoa, more people are going to learn your name in the future if you want to be successful and never go back to Nyctophilia, so gather your power and enjoy today. You have to learn to control that side of you. You're capable of anything if you believe in yourself." said Ms Windy as she gently touched my face with her warm and soft hands. She liked to do that.

Her words comforted me. She felt like a mother.

"Look, the meeting's about to start." said Nick and our attention was catched by the currains that opened and a giant screen and a man appeared.

"Hey everyone. The first challenge is over. There were some of you who did a great job,some who did an amaing one and some others who didn't. But that doesn't mean anything. The competition's not over yet. Every one of you has an equal chance of winning so take that and don't let it go." said the man as she was walking around in front of us.

"The challenge was hard but not the hardest. It really took intelligemce to do it but even if you didn't succeed that doesn't mean that you're not intelligent. It probably means that today wasn't the luckiest day for you. As I said before that challenge wasn't very hard because the sentence that was the solution of it was said by the lady before the challenge started.
Beauty may be dangerous, but intelligence is lethal. I like that sentence a lot. You should never forget it."

This man really knew how to say wise words, I adored the way he talked.

"Without losing anytime let's get to the reason why we're here right now. The scoring."

The big screen behind him lighted and it had each name of us ordered alphabetically with a zero next to each.

"Here are your names and after some seconds, next to each will be the amount of points each of you gets. This challenge had 20 points and based on your job in the it you'll get the points you deserve. Let's see."

The names arranged in the right way and my name was the first on the list with a 20 next to it, and after it came Dior and Nick both with 19.

"So the champion of this challenge is Ms Magoa." Said Msr. There was something happening in my stomach. I wanted to throw up. My anxiety was kicking in and I didn't know what to do as almost 100 eyes were on me. So I just stood there and smiled. Then he catched the attention again by saying "Each of you is amazing and has something to show to the world. This was all for today. Good luck next time." And the curtains closed.

We went back in our rooms and the way to it wasn't very easy for me because everyone was staring at me, talking about me.

"I can't believe I'm sharing room with a champion" said Dior.

"Shut up, you're a champion too." I said hugging her.

"You all are champions. Get a good rest tonight and get ready because tomorrow will be another challenge. " said Ms Windy.
