Part 4

Alec's p.o.v

It's been 4 days since I seen Magnus. The day we met he decided to go on a trip to Paris. PARIS. Can you believe him? How can he go to Paris, the city of love, without his mate? There's probably tons of people trying to get in his pants but they can't he's mine.  And if anyone touches him I'll hunt them down and kill them.

He's mine right? Yes. Yes he is but why doesn't he want me? Does he just hate alphas? Or does he just hate me? Am I not his type?! Wait that couldn't be it right? Does he love someone else? A whimper escapes me thinking about him leaving me for someone else.

"That's it Alec, what's wrong with you?"
I snap my head up, growling, caught off guard by whoever's in my office. I stopped growling when I saw Rafael cowering behind the Carrot. A smile crawls on my face as I spread my arms for Rafael.

"Oh I'm sorry Rafe I didn't mean to scare you. Come here?" I apologize. Rafe immediately runs to me and climbs on my lap, he starts to play with my hands as clary starts going on and on about meetings and more annoying stuff. I couldn't help but to gush over how adorable Rafe is. He has beautiful light cocoa colored skin and these big brown eyes. His dark black hair is unruly like mine and he seems to like how it looks. Honestly he looks like one of those child models.

Over last few days we've gotten really close and I've learned a lot about him. Rafe is a really good kid, he can be shy at times and he's a quiet kid but he also has a little mischievous side to him. Turns out he isn't even a an omega, he's an alpha. The omega I was smelling was his adopted sibling, Madzie, he talks about her a lot. They remind me of Jace and I, it's sweet.

"Alec! Your not even listening to me!" I hear clary yell snapping me back from my thoughts. Rafael whimper and hides in my chest, trying to feel safe.

"Clary! Don't yell, it scares him" I remind her while tightening my hold on Rafe, wanting nothing more than to protect this tiny creature that depends on me.

"Oh I'm so sorry Rafe! I didn't mean to." Clary responds quieter while trying to reach for Rafe but he just try's to move away from clary's hand. Clary's omega side surfaces making her wanna comfort the young child.

"No leave him." I start trying to get him far away from what he sees as a threat, my alpha side wanting to protect him at all cost. "What were you saying?" I try to change the subject when I see how sad Clary is. Even though she's just a tiny troublemaking carrot I still care about her feelings although she'll never hear it from me.

Clary just looks at Rafe's cowering figure, still trembling, with a face saying 'I'm sorry' all over it.
"Clary it's ok, he's ok, see?," I pet his hair and he calms enough to peek at Clary. She gave him a small smile that he returns, giving her enough reassurance.

"Yeah ok, but as I was saying I thought you would want to know that Magnus is getting back today at 11:30" Clary tries to hide her excitement but fails. Ever since me an mags met Izzy and Clary have been doing something called 'shipping' and even started calling us "Malec" which is like a mix of our names I guess. They even started to plan our wedding.

"Really? Well Clary cancel all my meetings for today and tell Izzy that I'm going to pick up Magnus so cancel his ride."

"He has his own car being dropped off for him

Well then just tell her I'll bring him the car and to cancel his meetings for today

"Ok I texted her and now I'll go to my office to cancel your meeting,"she began to walk away but then suddenly stops, "oh wait! what about Rafe? Should I send him with his father?" Rafe tensed when she said that and grips my shirt tightly.

"No he'll come with me today, send his father a note asking for permission. Actually I have an idea ask the father if I can take out the daughter too. And tell him to stay here until I get back."

"Yes sir" Clary says as she leaves the room. I start to finish any important documents that must be done today. Rafe eventually leaves my lap to get crayons but comes back and sits in his place.

We both sit comfortably but I can tell Rafael wants to say something but he seems to scared. Usually alpha children are more bold. It's in his nature to be more aggressive and outspoken but I understand he's had that side beat out of him. I'll have to work on that with him.

We've gotten close over that last few days but he always avoids how he got the bruises but I did get pictures for evidence when he was napping. But because alphas heal fast the bruises are gone but he heals slow for an alpha. When he eats he also clutches his plate and  stuffs his face trying to get as much he can like he doesn't eat much.

"Um I- eh uh m-mister Lightwood sir?" Rafe says knocking me out of my thoughts. "Rafe you can just call me Alec. Now what do you have to say" I correct him.

"D-d-do me and madzie get to stay with you?" He asks looking hopeful. "Yeah" I say to him.  "Forever?" He screams standing up on my lap and holding my shoulders. His eyes shine with hope and kills me to ruin that but I can't lie to him. "No buddy your gonna come with me today and more days until you move?" The hope fades away and fear creeps in his eyes as they tear up.

"We have to move with Mr. Ortiz. Please don't make me I wanna stay with you, Madzie and Mommy, please I'll be good." He begs as he hugs me tightly, hiding his face in my neck.

"Hey calm down your not going to move with your father I'm going to help you get away from him for forever. And then you your mommy and Madzie are gonna move to a safe place without him ok?" I get a small nod from him.

"Will you visit me?" He asks, letting go of my neck to look at me, the cutest pout on his lips. "Of course, mi tesoro. Now no more questions time for a nap and when you wake up we're meeting my mate."

"Ok but what does mi testaro mean?" I couldn't help but chuckle at the sleepy childs pronunciation. "It's mi tesoro and I'll tell you later. Now sleep and when you wake up we'll go get Madzie and Magnus."

As Rafael fell asleep I couldn't help but wish that I could keep him forever. I couldn't explain it, I've only known him for like a week but he's mine, my beautiful son. I want to keep him but I can't do that to his mother I have enough evidence to remove them from the house and start a case against his father. But his mother tries her best to protect her kids but is a victim herself. I won't scar more her by taking her children. I'll visit him anytime though.

Rafael's adorable snores bring me back to reality. I go to the couch near my desk and try to put him down but he won't let me go. I don't wanna wake him so I guess I'm taking a nap too. I lay down with him on my chest and grab a blanket from behind the couch. When I spread the blanket on top of us he snuggles into my chest. I pet his hair as I fall into a deep sleep. The only thing on my mind is how will magnus react to seeing me this time?

Ok this chapter is a lot late but it's here. I wanted to give more of Rafael and Alec bonding before I bring in Magnus and other Characters. I'm also putting Madzie in this story.  In the next chapter how will Magnus react? What will happen to Rafe? How will the father react to his children and mate being taken away from him? (He deserves it though) and pls give any feedback😌
