We got to rileys after topanga finished at topangas and then I saw my bag had been dropped off already. Thank god. I didnt have to pack it myself. First things first dinner, were having pizza because we got back later than expected.we ate and then finally we went to rileys room. Good, I can talk to her, I thought. I started the conversation lightly. "Umm, riley? I dont know about you but back at topangas I, I kind of felt some scary tension. I wanted to know if your okay?" "I'm fine. Why wouldnt I be, I'm smiley riley." Okay something was definitley wrong "riley I know when somethings wrong for you I can see it in your eyes. Your face looks unmoved but your eyes look sad, tell me what's bothering you?" It came out as a question in the end, again? Why do I keep doing that."i-i can b-but you wouldnt understand," "then explain it, I'm sure I'll get it after you explain" she finally seemed like she was gonna talk, then after a moments silence and her moving over from the bay window to her bed to sit with a pillow hiding her face, she spoke "I dont like the idea of this friends date with you and Lucas, and I know that that's all it is and I'm sorry but it bothers me so much" "riley, there is nothing that will be going on with me and Lucas, okay? We are just mostly friends, that's all" "r-really?" " yeah, and I thought it was weird that you were standing next to farkle and he was standing next to me on the way to topangas today." "Oh my gosh me too, thank goodness it wasn't just me"then she continued" but, maya?" "Yes?" "Why, umm, did you umm,think that?" "Well because I know you still like Lucas even though you broke up and I thought-" "MAYA," "huh?" " I dont still likeLucas,that is so far off from the truth" "really?" "So then why were you so upset?" "Are you still not following?" "Umm, not really no riley" "maya, why do you think I broke up with Lucas? Like what was the story given to you" "umm, well you two broke up because it just wasnt meant to be and you guys are such good friends you didnt want to lose that" "yeah, true I guess, but not the full story" "what do you mean?" She was worrying me, but I wanted to know now more than ever what her next words would be, she spoke again this time much quieter, "we broke up because he said he could tell I liked you" "what?" "Yep." "Huh."
