Hinata's POV

"Uhh, so Hinata. What is it that you were going to tell me?" The blonde-haired boy curiously asked, scratching the back of his neck as he stared me down with his piercing blue eyes. "U-Umm.. well.." I gulped, taking quick glances up at him.

"I-.." I looked up, glancing over Naruto's shoulder seeing a group of familiar girls.. and guy? seeming to be starting at us. My eyes widened, realizing who they were. "T-TenTen, Temari, Ino a-and Neji-san?" I thought in my head, watching as they made hand gestures such as a thumbs up and heart signs to me expect Neji who plastered on an unamused expression.

"Is.. there something wrong Hinata? You're turning really red." Naruto asked, causing me to turn my attention back to him. "A-Ah, no! I was just.. distracted.." I replied, nervously chuckling. "Oh, alright then. Could you maybe.. tell me now?" He asked, giggling which I found.. cute.

"Oh, r-right! About that.." I took a deep breath in, placing my hand over my chest feeling the rhythm of my heartbeat beat faster. "I-I.. have liked and cherished you.. for a really long time now.." I stated, looking down at my shoes. "And.. I thought that.. it was time to let my f-feelings out to you.." I added, blinking a couple times as I could feel palms sweat.

There was a moment of silence, making me feel even more nervous. I slowly looked up at him, placing my hands behind my back. "W-Well.. Hinata.." He finally said, looking away a bit as he scratched his cheek nervously chuckling. "I'd love to.. accept your feelings for me but.." Naruto paused, looking directly at him.

"I already like someone at the moment, i'm really sorry." I looked up at him, eye to eye. "H-He.. already likes someone..? But who..?" I told myself, feeling the melancholy feeling hit me. I've always hated rejections, especially from the people whom I truly like. It hurts, especially when it comes from someone you've loved for awhile now.

That's why I decide to keep my feelings to myself and choose to be passive, not letting it out to the world. But, I really am bad at hiding my feelings. "Uh.. Hinata?" Naruto said, waving a hand in front of me. I snapped back to reality, turning my gaze to him.

"I'm really sorry.." He apologized, sounding sincere. "I-It's alright! I don't.. really mind." I replied smiling at him, per usual. "It's not like.. I-I was expecting a yes from you." I muttered under my breath, looking down.

"What was that?" He asked, lifting an eyebrow. "Nothing.." I replied. "Are you sure you're alright?" Naruto said, taking a step closer to me to check. I stepped back a bit, waving my hands around. "Yes! I-I'm alright! No need to w-worry.." I stated, lowering my voice down.

"But I hope we could still be friends!" He said, smiling. I nodded, "W-Well, i'll be going n-" As I was about to finish my sentence, Naruto averts his gaze to someone from behind me. "S-Sakura!" He exclaims, looking happily all of a sudden. I turned back around, examining his face.

"I've noticed.. that when Sakura is around he always seems so happy.. and joyous.." I thought to myself. I look down, finding out who he liked. "I'll be going now Hinata! See you around!" He said, tapping me on the shoulder as he headed over to Sakura. Sakura greeted with me with a gesture and smile, and so did I.

I sighed, hugging myself feeling my eyes water. "It's okay Hinata.." I told myself, smiling as I walked to the opposite direction of Naruto and Sakura. I halted, the sky suddenly pouring of rain. "Rain? N-Naruto-kun you-" I turned around, seeing Naruto offer his yellow hoodie to Sakura.

I stood there, watching as Sakura took his hoodie, also ruffling his hair. I averted my attention to Naruto, seeing the tint of red on his cheeks as he smiled and laughed. I turned around and began walking back home, hugging myself. "He really likes her.." I told myself, looking up as the rain fell on me. "It'll always be like this.. isn't it.."

I chuckled, deeply sighing. "I'm such fool.. falling in-love with someone who already fancies someone else.."
