(Y/n) POV
"What are we gonna do with the kid? She has no family to go to!" An older man hissed.
"We'll take her to the orphanage. That's the only option." The officer informed.
Smaller me sat on the hospital chair, oblivious to what the words meant at that time. I watched as the police officer walked towards me squatting down to eye level.
"Hey kid. Can you come with me please." The officer asked, his hand outstretched for me to take.
Smaller me smiled happily grabbing his hand, as we walked out of the hospital.
"Are you taking me too mommy!" I exclaimed.
The officer had a sad look in his eyes as he glanced down towards me.
"Mommy can't see you anymore. So we are taking you somewhere else." The officer informed, as gently as he could.
The words rang in my ears.
'Why can't mommy see me anymore? She said she would see me at lunch.'
The police officer opened the door to his car, smaller me climbing in as I buckled myself. The cop got in the drivers seat starting the car as we took off.
'Does mommy not love me?'
We pulled up to a 2 story red brick building, with a brown wooden sign at the front. Letters written on it but I couldn't read at the time. The cop exited the police vehicle opening the door for me. I jumped out my bare feet hitting the cement pathway. The cop grabbed my hand gently walking towards the building. We walked up the patio and the cop knocked on the wooden door, the sounds of screaming children coming from inside. The door opened revealing a brunette woman. She looked worn out as she and the cop spoke. The cop pulled my arm as he placed my small hand into the woman's. I stared confused.
"It's ok kid. This is your new home now." The cop informed.
My eyes watered as I snatched my hand back to my chest.
"Where's my mom! I want my mom!" Small me cried.
"Shhhh~ I'm sorry child. Mom can't see you anymore." The brunette woman tried to soothe.
I glared in anger at the woman.
"That's not true! She said she'd come home at lunch!" Small me retorted.
The cop sighed getting down on one knee. His hat too his chest as he held a solemn look on his face. His hand outstretched resting itself on my small shoulder.
"Kid I'm sorry. You're mother h——"
I shot up from my bed, a cold sweat running down my back as ragged breathes left my mouth. I clutched my hair as I tried to calm down. I collapsed back onto my pillow grabbing my phone to check the time.
'10:47am'
I sighed thankful it was the weekend. I rose back up from my bed, pulling on my slippers as I walked out of my room into the kitchen. Opening the fridge I opened a cold one. Chugging down the alcoholic substance. I was underage but I didn't care, how I got it you may ask. I stole it. I collapsed onto the small green couch the cushions sinking at my sudden weight.
'I haven't dreamt of that in awhile.' I thought, still shaken from the memory.
I took another sip from the alcoholic beverage my mind wondering. I looked around my small apartment seeing clothes and empty beer cans littered amongst the floor. I sighed resting my back against the couch annoyed of my lifestyle.
'I should really clean up this place.'
My thoughts weren't put into action as my body refused to move. I yawned loudly as my eyes watered, still not fully awake yet. I couldn't stand staring at the mess any longer as I got up and stormed to my room. I pulled on black ripped jeans with a white t-shirt with the words 'lone wolf' written across it, I grabbed my grey cap with a small red rose on the front. I chugged down one more beer can before I left closing the door behind me not bothering to lock it, since there isn't anything in there to really steal. I walked down the street, the path looking like it's starting to move on it's own. I laughed, questioning myself. I only had two right? I walked around the corner tripping slightly.
"Stupid path." I grumbled
I continued walking, my steps slow and sluggish trying to concentrate to not loose my footing. I looked ahead to see a park with a bench. I walked over stumbling slightly, I walked with a faster pace towards the bench. I sat down as I sighed holding my head in my hands.
"Shiiiiit~ I'm gonna die!" I exclaimed.
Earning a few flares from parents walking by with their children. I sighed dejectedly as I got up leaving the scene. I wobbled slightly as everything seemed to be funnier. I spotted a person up ahead but they were blurry and they seemed to be twins. I laughed at the thought. I bumped into the person, their body feeling very hard.
"What are~ you~ a rock~" I slurred.
"(Y/n)?" The voice inquired.
I looked up, not having much luck in figuring out who it was.
"I'm sorry who~ the fuck~ are you?" I slurred, getting on my tip toes for extra effect.
I lost my balance trying to be intimidating, my self falling to the doom of concrete. I was caught in a stronghold instead though. I laughed as a response.
"Are you drunk?" The person asked.
I felt them sniff my neck causing a shiver to run up my spine.
"Good doggy!" I exclaimed happily.
I felt the world spin as my feet felt like they were floating. I gasped quietly figuring out I was being carried.
"Stranger danger! Stranger danger!" I yelled.
"Shush. It's me Usui. Remember?" The person informed.
"Usui?" I quizzed. "What sort of name is that?"
The stranger carried me for awhile as I talked about random things and laughed during the process. The stranger joining in with laughing sometimes. I heard a ding.
"Oh is the microwave done!" I exclaimed.
"No it was the elevator." They answered flatly.
"Nawwwww I wanted popcorn." I whined.
The click of a door opening was heard. I felt myself being set down gently into a soft surface. Before the warmth of the other human disappeared closing the door.
"(Y/n) why were you drinking?" The person asked
"None of your business!" I yelled.
"Tch. Even in this state you keep your secrets." The person mumbled clearly annoyed.
I giggled as a response. I really like this person they are fun too annoy.
