[One-Shot] Cheering Her Up

Mitsuki found her one day, sitting alone in the training ground as she watches the sun from afar with an expression he immediately didn't like. The liveness he used to notice, was overtaken by a rare melancholy look on her face.

He remembers the last time the girl made such a sad face. It was during the time she tries to cheer ChōChō up, only to be shot down by her friend's aggressiveness. But the worried look on Sarada's face didn't sit right with him and even goes out of his way to rekindle the relationship between them.

Remembering the sad look, he decided to move to stand by her side. The person that he came to know as a teammate turns her head and greets him, "Hey, Mitsuki. How you've been?" The pairs of dull black eyes look at him, and his stomach churned a bit.

She didn't even try to hide it from him, "What's wrong?" He asks, not bothering with pleasantries; they'll only distract him from the real intentions.

"There's nothing wrong," her face lit up as she curls her lips upward.

"Mitsuki sighed, "Please don't lie to me, Sarada."

"I'm not," her voice grows a bit aggravated.

"Sarada," the look of seriousness was starting to show on his face as he crouched down to her level, "What's wrong?" He asks again.

Sarada was shocked by the level of seriousness from the boy's face before she sighed, "It's papa..." she reluctantly confessed, "He didn't come to the training field as he promised..."

"I see," Mitsuki replied.

"He probably off somewhere, training with Boruto or something..." the girl mutters, clenching her fist as her eyes reflect the anger and sadness behind her glasses.

"Do you want to train with me then?" He suddenly asks as he gazes at the girl's onyx black eyes; who in turn, widened her eyes in complete surprise, "If you want to; of course," he quickly added.

The young Uchiha stares at the yellow-eyed boy before a small smile appears on her face, realizing what the boy was doing, "Yeah... I would like that. Thanks, Mitsuki."

"It's no problem, Sarada," Mitsuki closes his eyes and smile, "So, shall we start...?"
