Birth in Wakanda's culture was a big deal. When a woman gave birth in America, the child was hers. When a woman gives birth in Wakanda, the child is considered a blessing to the community; he is theirs as well. Because of this, a royal birth always felt like a national holiday. For months leading up to the birth, thousands of gifts were sent to the palace from citizens and other tribes as the first child of Prince T'Challa was currently on the way.
Normal Wakandan tradition shuns men from being in the birthing chamber. It is the women's job to help the expecting mother, but T'Challa could care less. He demanded that he be in the room with Jasmine. Once Baby Blue had arrived, the midwives in the room left the now completed family, alone.
"I guess we get to name him now, huh?"
Wakandan culture frowned upon giving a infant their name before they were born. "Since you were right about him being a boy, I thought of the name 'Azzari.' T'Challa grinned. "It's perfect."
