"Señorita?"
My breath hitched at the sound of that familiar voice, as flashes of that particular one night that had me regretting it in the morning, till this very day. I turned around only to be met with that same gaze with those emerald green eyes that still captivated me ever since that night. "I don't have time to entertain you right now, I have work" I quickly said, looking the other way and dashed off to tend to the other customers, crossing my arms, my voice rather quaking.
No. I don't need this. Why is he here? Vaffanculo...
...........
I love it when you call me "señorita"
I wish I could pretend I didn't need ya
But every touch is ooh-la-la-la
It's true la-la-la
Ooh I should be running
Ooh you keep me coming For ya............
I watched her hurriedly leave, betrayed by my hands because I wasn't able to reach out to her. The other waitress looked at me, sympathetically. I slump back down into the seat, ruffling my hair and looked out the window, reminiscing that night.............
Land in Miami
The air was hot from summer rain
Sweat dripping off me
Before I even knew her name la-la-la
It felt like ooh-la-la-la Yeah, no..............
I was playing the guitar with Pedro and Michael in the old salsa club where I usually came to whenever I visited the US. It was a rather hot night, sweat dripping down my brow, but nonetheless, we played on as we watched the others danced. It was there I saw her. Her olive tan skin in a lacey black dress that very much accentuated her curves. Her piercing hazel eyes with green flecks in them when I locked eyes with her. Her auburn hair loosely braided with a most peculiar curl sticking out. She was with a group of friends but I noticed she wasn't having much fun. She gave me a stare, almost furious like. Perhaps I was staring at her for too long. But I was entranced by her and before I realized it, I was making my way to her."Señorita?"
I turned around at the question. A lone male, tanned skin wearing a white tank top whose figure was what I would say godlike, and emerald eyes, looked at me. Judging by the question and accent, a Spaniard.
"Si? How can I help you?" I asked, raising my eyebrow. "I saw you and thought I would very much love to have the honour to dance with you. Would you?" he asked, his hands outreached to me. I looked towards my friends and sister, all who were beaming and playfully teased me. It was when they 'pushed' me towards him did I answered back. Might as well make this night count. "S-si.." I answered, taking his hand.
.......
Sapphire moonlight
We danced for hours in the sand
Tequila Sunrise
Her body fit right in my hands, la-la-la
It felt like ooh-la-la-la Yeah.......
Taking her hand, I guided her across the dance floor. Dancing with her...it felt natural, it felt right. As though the movements just flow right through us. The echo of the Spanish guitar in the background, the heat from everything else that came with it. No words were spoken at all but I could tell what she was saying just by her movements.
