Chapter 1

Your POV

Today was our 1 year anniversary. Today I started dating Subaru one year ago. I practically skipped down the stairs to the living room of the Sakamaki mansion.

'I can't wait to show my surprise to Subaru. I bet he would be happy with it', I thought and smiled to myself as I made my way towards the dining table.

"Evening everyone~" I wished everyone who were present at the dining table, minus Yui and Subaru. (you all know vampires wake up in the evening so, yeah)

"Evening, Y/N," Reiji said.

"Where are Subaru and Yui?" I asked.

"I don't know. I have not seen them since yesterday," Reiji said.

"I will go look for them," I said as I left the dining room and headed upstairs towards Subaru's room.

As I reached near Subaru's room, I heard voices from inside. One was certainly of Subaru, the other was the voice of a familiar girl.

Yui.

My breath hitched in my throat as I slowly opened the unlocked door. I nearly wanted to vomit at the sight before me.

Yui and Subaru were kissing.

I took one step back as tears started to form in my eyes and ran down my cheeks. After a moment I finally managed to speak.

"S-Subaru?"

I was on the ground in the flower garden as rain fell on me, mixing with the tears that were falling down my cheeks. Subaru was standing a few feet away from me, his face showing no emotions.

"Why? Why would you do this to me? What did I ever do wrong? I thought you loved me!" I shouted, avoiding any eye contact with the albino. "I loved you," I said, as more tears fell down your face.

"I never loved you," Subaru finally said.

"It's because of Yui," I mumbled, but he being a vampire having inhuman hearing, heard me.

"What?" the albino asked.

I faced him. "It's because of Yui you rejected me, right? You played with me all this time! The fact is you never loved me! You always loved Yui!" I shouted at him.

"You're right. I never loved you. I always loved Yui", Subaru said.

I lowly chuckled. "Fine. If it's like this" you stood up. "Enjoy your happy life with Yui. I will never come in between you and Yui! Goodbye." I said as I walked away from Subaru towards the mansion as tears fell from my eyes.
