Chapter 4

Third Person's POV

Subaru was running towards your room in inhumane speed as he had smelled the scent of your blood which was coming from your room. The other brothers also smelled your blood and ran towards your room(except Ayato and Yui). Subaru broke your door and went inside, only to see you hanging from the fan, lifeless. "(Y/N)!" He shouted.

Subaru's POV 

No, No, No, NO!! This can't be happening! (Y/N), My (Y/N) can't leave me like this! What? What did I say just now? Did I say my (Y/N) just now? .....I think, after all this time, I love her and her only. I quickly removed the rope from her neck and laid her head on my lap. "(Y/N)! (Y/N)! Open your eyes! You can't leave me like this! (Y/N)!" I shouted while shaking her. "It's of no use Subaru. She's gone. She's.....dead." Reiji's voice cracked as he held back his tears which threatened to fall. Tears poured down my cheeks. "I think this is for you" Laito said whilst handing me a letter, after which he gave another letter to Reiji. I opened up the letter and read aloud its contents.

'Dear Subaru,

A person doesn't die when his soul leaves his body. A person dies when he has lost his reason to live. I'm saying this because I have also lost my reason to live. Why, you ask? That's because a certain redhead took away my innocence. I think Yui planned this from the time we started dating. I saw clear on her face that she couldn't stand the sight of us together. So she separated us. And she succeeded. I was hiding the pain till all this time. But when you announced your engagement, I couldn't stand it anymore. It hurts. It really hurts to see you both together. But who am I to blame her? After all, you love her. You said so yourself. So, I decided not to come in your way anymore. I decided to kill myself. And I don't have any reason left to live. I lost my love, and I lost the most precious thing of a woman - her virginity. Anyways, it doesn't matter anymore. You might have found this letter when I am dead. Oh I forgot to tell you one thing. Congratulations on your engagement with Yui. Be happy with her. I wish you luck. But remember one thing. No matter who you are with, I will always love you. Goodbye.

Tears pricked down my eyes after I finished the letter. "How can I stay happy with someone who I don't love? She died because of me. It's all my fault" I said my thoughts out loud. "It's not your fault Subaru. Yui and Ayato are the one to blame" Laito said. I clutched (Y/N)'s body tightly in my arms. Ayato. Yui. I will not leave you after what you have done to (Y/N).
