I woke up the next morning and got ready for work. It was 3:30 AM and I had a plane to catch a 4:30. I had a meeting in New York. I'd told Darren that I'd be accepting his offer. I would give him 3 old suits to advance in technology and I would work closely with him on the project. He humbly agreed. I kissed Peter's head before heading out.

When got I to the facility Darren greeted me with a smile.
"Welcome to my main facility."
"Thank you Mr. Klark."
"Please, call me Darren."
I nodded.
"Shall we go inside?" I asked.
"Of course." He smiled and held out his arm.
I took it and he gave me a tour of the facility. It was absolutely brilliant. The technology was insane, and I've been to Wakanda so that's saying something. Darren was extremely humble and sweet. I knew I'd enjoy working with him. I smiled.
"You can have anything you'd like while you're here." He smiled.
"Thank you so much Mr. Klark. I really appreciate your hospitality."
"Really its no trouble. I appreciate your kindness." I blushed.
There was a call on my phone. It was from Peter.
"Excuse me."
"Go ahead."
I picked up.
"Maya! I've been calling you all day! I was worried sick!"
"Baby I'm okay. I'm at work."
"Who the hell works on a Saturday?"
"Me, but I'll be home soon. How's Morgan?"
"Alright. She's fine. Pepper is still sleeping."
"Okay. Well, tell them that I love them and I'll be home soon."
"Okay. Love you, honey. Stay safe."
"Love you too baby. I will."
He hung up. I smiled like an idiot.
"Husband?" Darren asked.
"Fiancé."
"Ah. Well, congratulations."
"Thank you."
"You're welcome. I assume Morgan is your little girl."
"My little sister, but Peter and I are trying to learn how to be parents so I guess she's out practice." Maya laughed
"Oh, you're expecting?" Darren asked.
"No! No, no, god no. But come time in the very distant future that are, I don't want to panic you know?" Maya asked.
"Of course." He smiles.
I smile too.
"Well, I'll let you go. Family is the most important thing to me so I completely understand." He smiles.
"Thank you so much... Darren. It is honestly so nice to meet someone like you these days. I really appreciate how kind you are."
"Well, I try." He smiles.
"See you tomorrow Darren."
"See you tomorrow Maya."
I smiled and walked away.
