Owen anxiously cracked his fingers, orange mist flowing around him. He stood outside the classroom door, terrified. He wasn't prepared to find a temporary member. A tall boy pushed pass him and into the classroom, not bothering to apologize. Owen stood now shaking as a wall built out of the floor tile began to rise around him. No, I can't just hide- I have to do this. Owen quickly broke the wall, the bits of shattered tile melting back into the floor. He took a deep breath and stepped into the classroom. Oh god...everyone's staring at me!
Truthfully, no one was. Owen didn't exactly scream 'supernatural being'.
Owen carefully made his way over to an empty seat in the back next to the same tall boy that had pushed past him.
"Wow dude, your hair is really orange!" The tall boy stared at Owens messy hair, seemingly holding back laughter.
Owen tensed up, was that a compliment? Orange was a great color.
Owen let out a small whisper, "thank you."
"I'm Chase." He replied, leaning back in his chair. The chair wobbled under chases weight.
This is it! This is my chance..
Owen stood up out of his chair, clenching his fists and staring at Chase meaningfully.
"Chase! Please join me and five other strangers with magical powers on a journey to find our missing purple friend!" Owen smiled, proud of himself. I did it! I did it!
The entire class turned around.
Chase burst into the laughter.
The class soon followed.
Owens face turned bright red, and he quickly went invisible, orange mist now pouring out around him. His stomach turned with embarrassment as he ran, still invisible, out the door.
The others are just gonna have to handle this one...
