Yuliana had found her classroom the quickest, already sitting in the front row before most of the students arrived. Her long yellow waves drooped over her desk, and a group of girls stood in the corner whispering to one another, giving Yuliana glances.
Yuliana tapped her fingers on the surface of the desk, contemplating levitating the girls out the door.
More students walked in, and a pair of boys took seats right next to Yuliana. The group of girls were now shooting Yuliana a dirty look. Smirking, Yuliana looked between the two boys. They are pretty cute, they must be a big deal around here.
Yuliana carefully levitated a pencil off of an empty desk- grasping it in her hand before purposefully dropping it.
"Oh no! Whatever will I do! That was my only one..." Yuliana fluttered her long yellow eyelashes. The pencil rolled by the teachers desk, almost disappearing under it.
Both boys shot up from their chairs, "I got it!" They said in unison. They both glared at one another. After a few seconds of staring, one huffed and fell back into his chair, while the one with chestnut brown hair picked up the pencil and reached for Yulianas hand, placing it in her palm and closing her fingers around it.
The girl who appeared to be the ringleader of the group in the corner stood with her mouth open, quickly closing it when she caught Yuliana looking.
"Thanks, cinnamon." Yuliana said with a wink. The boy retook his seat, and the angry girl walked over to him.
"Hey baby!" The girl smiled at the boy, the corners of her mouth quivering. Her hair was long and dark, and her eyes were electric blue.
The boy seemed confused. "Uh, hey?" The boy replied.
The girl seemed annoyed, but she kept the smile on her face. "Why don't you come sit by me?"
The boy looked the girl up and down before slowly descending from his seat. "Alright-"
Yuliana stood up, wrapping her arms around the boys chest and staring directly into the girls eyes. She tapped her sunshine yellow nails on his body.
"Sorry, cinnamon, he'd rather stay here."
The boy grinned, quickly retaking his seat.
The girl quivered from anger before turning on her heel and stomping back to her desk. For a small second, Yuliana thought she saw a hint of black mist seeping from the girl, but she knew that was impossible.
Yuliana took her seat and side eyed the boy, her legs propped up on the desk.
"Just so you know..." Yuliana began.
The boy was blushing and smiling.
"I don't actually like you." She finished.
The boys smile was replaced by shock.
