I would just like to get it out there that this is my first book on wattpad, and this isnt all i've written so far, and I'll probably have the first chapter up by Wensday.

Prologue" June 21st
It was rapidly growing dark in the depths of the Amazon rainforest. Peter and Elli Smith were on a group hike and were looking for the path that leads back to the meeting place. They had gotten lost after lunch, six hours ago. The couple broke out of the dangerous forest into a bright clearing. In the center of the small, a large fire was flickering in the shadows of the trees. They slowly walked to the choppy flames.
"Come closer," A raspy voice hissed, "I'm in need of you."
A petite woman approached from the forest. She wore robes of lemon yellow and pumpkin orange. She was worn and aged, but in a soft billowy manner.
"What do you need us for?"Elli was terrified.
"I am a shaman of Mayan decent and I was summoned by the gods. You and I were brought here by Mat Buas, the Mayan sun god."
Peter spoke up," Why would he call us? We are regular people."
"Americans," she drawled," Tad's why you were called. He's in his human form there. Mat Buas has been looking for a partner for centuries. He was lucky to finally find someone, but Hun Came is after her too."
"Wait, Hun Came as in the god of the underworld?" Elli asked skeptically. She was a professor at Pennsylvania University and taught advanced religion. The Mayan Gods were one of her favorites to study.
"Yes, child, the god of the underworld and demons. This is why you must find de gurl, and protect her. "
"HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO FIND THIS GIRL?" Peter exploded. After he calmed down a bit, he continued," The only thing we know about her is that she lives in America."
"I cannot tell you much, but de gurl lives near where you work," She glanced at Elli," She's beautiful, but she has a dark past. Mat Buas said that all you need to find her is the sound of heart break."
"Heartbreak?" Elli asked," What kind of girl is she?"
" Hush, child, you're going to anger him," The woman whispered," You must go now. Find de gurl, and protect her." Suddenly the fire went out and the shaman disappeared.
Peter and Elli watched the wispy smoke rose to the darkening sky. He turned to Elli," Well, it looks like we have a girl to find."
"You want to find her? What if she's fake and the shaman was lying?"
"I don't believe it, but I still want to see if she's real."
They began searching for the trail that they were looking for in the first place. It only took minutes compared to the hours they spent earlier.
Peter turned to Elli as they made their way back to civilization. "Lucky we found that trail so quickly, or we would be traipsing around in the dark."
"Yea," Elli replied looking at the setting sun in front of them, "Lucky.
