(Aaliyah's POV)

I wake up super late the next day, completely skipping church. I know I should have gone, but I just wasn't feeling it.

I go into the bathroom and look at my face. My eyes are super puffy and red from all the crying. I definitely look like a mess. I comb my hair out with my fingers and splash some water on my face. It feels really refreshing.

When I'm done I go downstairs to see everyone either in the living room or the kitchen. Nobody says anything, probably because of last night.

I go to the kitchen to grab a glass of water. Kenna is sitting at the kitchen table with Brandon.

Kenna groans, "See this is why I didn't want to tell anyone. You are all moping around like I just died. I'm still here and I'm not going anywhere, so can we please act like a bunch of fools?"

Zion runs from the living room to the kitchen. He runs straight at me picking me up over his shoulder. He starts running in circles while I start smacking his back.

"Who's next? I give free airplane rides," he says while laughing.

"I want to go next!" Becca yells.

Zion puts me down gently and picks up Becca. He runs around the house like an idiot with her on his shoulders. Zion definitely knows how to cheer everyone up.

After Zion gives us girls his "airplane rides" everyone is acting just fine. Like everything is normal. That's how Kenna wants it.

We start to make breakfast and listen to music. When we are eating I realize that I start my job today. I totally forgot.

"Shit! Kenna we need to leave soon," I say.

"Why?" She asks.

"I start working today," I say.

"I can take you back to your dorm and drive you to work," Nick says.

"Are you sure?" I ask.

"Most definitely," he says.

"Thank you," I say.

He nods his head and puts his plate into the sink. I do the same thing. I then go back to Nick's room to grab my phone and charger.

When I come back downstairs he is waiting for me on the couch, playing on his phone.

"Are you ready?" I ask.

"Yup, lets go," he says.

"We are leaving!" I yell into the kitchen.

Everyone yells, "Bye!"

We walk out the door and get into the car. The whole car ride we listen to music and dance. I don't even think Nick knows that I'm working at the same place as him.

When we pull into the parking lot I go inside really fast to get ready. Nick just waits in the car for me.

When I open my door I see my mother sitting on my bed. How in the hell did she get in here? And why is she here?

"What are you doing in my dorm room?" I ask.

"I see you didn't even take the dress out of the box," she says while pointing to the box in my closet.

"I don't need it. I'm not coming to your wedding," I say.

"Yes you are. I came here to talk to you about it," she says.

"Look I don't have time to talk to you right now. I need to get ready for work," I say.

"You can be late today. Right now we need to talk about the wedding," she says.
