(Nick's POV)

I go downstairs and I see Grayson sitting down at the table. He looks at me and he looks so tired and just so done with everything.

Hopefully when Aaliyah calls my mom they call the police too. He needs to be out of here.

"Grayson," I say.

"Oh Nick," he says. "It's so nice to see you again."

"What's going on?" I ask. "You do realize that everyone is just out back, right?"

"Yes I know, but I was invited to this therefore nobody thinks that anything is wrong."

"What do you want?"

"I want you out of the picture. You took Aaliyah all to yourself and now I can't have any of her," he says.

"That doesn't even matter," I say. "You can still be friends with her."

"NO!" He yells. "I want her more than a friend. Everyone has always thought of us as best friends, but she loves me. I know she does."

"She doesn't," I say. "Aaliyah isn't the type to play someone like that."

"People can be good at faking shit," he says. "She doesn't even want that baby with you. She wishes that her and I had the baby."

I laugh, "You absolutely wish. She is mine and she doesn't like you that way. She loves you as a best friend."

"But I love her more than that!"

"I understand that, but how can you do this to her? She has loved and supported you since you guys were toddlers learning to ride a bike. She never gave up on you and she loved you as her best friend. Why would you try to take her family away from her? She did nothing to you."

"She ruined everything! Why do you think her mom did what she did? It was all because of Aaliyah," he says.

"That's not even true," I say. "You have no clue what you are talking about. Her mom was crazy and she still is. Aaliyah did nothing wrong."

"Aaliyah did everything," he says. "She is just a mistake to everyone and everything. All she does is harm people."

"Stop talking shit about her!" I say. "She did nothing wrong to any of us."

"Maybe you think you are right, but I can think what I want to think. In my opinion it's all her fault, but you are always in the way," he says.

"I'm not in the way," I say. "I'm right where I need to be."

"Not exactly," he says. He pulls out a pocketknife and waves it in the air. Now is when I need the damn police here. This talking shit isn't working.

"Grayson, just calm down," I say. "We can talk all of this out."

"No we can't," he says. "You have what I want, so I'm going to get rid of you just like Jess did to those parents."

"You are sick," I say.

"Maybe you are right," he says with a smirk on his face. He comes running at me with the knife and I run underneath him. He yells and runs back at me.

He shoves me against the wall and the knife is right in my face. I shove him back and I knock the knife out of his hands. He grabs me by the shirt and throws me onto the ground. He starts hitting my face and I can already taste the blood everywhere.

I flip over and now I'm on top throwing punches at him. He starts to grunt and then he pushes me to the side again. I try to stop him, but he grabs the knife. I'm pinned underneath him and the knife is right in front of my throat.
