finding her

It was just a normal day like any other. My dad was drinking and my mom was out of the house. I wish I had a different family sometimes. All my dad does is drink and my mom is never home. I feel like I don't even have parents sometimes. I walk up to my drunk dad "I'm going for a quad ride with Dylan, be home later" my dad sits there with his drink in his hand and waves his other one. I tell him because I like to think he cares about me but in my heart I know he doesn't.

I got my quad running and texted Dylan.

Jess (me) : hey wanna go for a quad ride?

Dylan : sure I'll meet you at emerald pasture, okay?

Jess : sure but hurry up need to talk to someone

Dylan : okay be there asap

I get to the pasture and within 2 minutes Dylan comes speeding into the field and parks beside me.

"hey so what did you want to talk to me about? did you do it again last night!? please tell me you didn't" said Dylan.

"I just wanted someone to talk to and your the only person that's always there for me and I can't tell you something that isn't true...it was after my dad..touched..me again.." I said.

" I'm not just gonna stand around here and let him do this to you! your like my sister and you mean so much to me I hate what he does to you and I hate what you do to yourself" said Dylan.

I wish he thought of me in a different way.. I've liked Dylan for so long I thought he would catch on.

"Dylan you can't say anything I'm gonna run away soon..i can't live in that house anymore" I said.

He took my hands "just know I'll always be here if you need anything or anyone" he said.

"okay" I said.

I hear a neighing coming for the near the trees. "I hear something" I jump in my quad and try to follow the noise.

As I become closer I see her she's standing over another one who is lying on the ground and.. oh my god who would do this?! why would someone do this!? "Dylan" I yell.
