Shadow

I never thought.

What does he wanna ask me I wonder. for several minutes there is awkward silence.
"So what do you wanna ask me?" I said
"Well for a while now I've liked you umm... more than just a.. friend" Dylan said. I couldn't help but smile and blush and giggle a little.
"Wow I've been hoping for you to tell me this for a while.." I said
"You have? I never thought that you of all people... I mean do you mean that you like me too?" he said.
For the whole about 5 minutes I before she whinnied I completely forgot that Shadow was there.
As I petted Shadow I said "what was the question you wanted to ask me?".
"do you think you would umm.. wanna go on a date with me?".
I couldn't help but start blushing to the point where my whole face looked like a tomatoe!. "I honestly thought you would never ask" I said while still looking like a tomatoe. Then he started blushing too.

I have been waiting for years for this to happen. In the spur of the moment all I. can think of is him and me...kissing... and what it will be like from now on.

"So how's tomorrow night sound meet me around 8 in the meadow okay?" he said. "I definitely will, I promise" I say. He stands up to go and kisses me on the forehead and leaves.

I hear a loud whinny come from my new little foal. "My little shadow you have to be quiet" I say as I'm stroking her beautiful black mane. I go inside to get her another apple because she's still looking for more food. As I go to the front I realize my dads home, so I go through the garage and in through the door that leads straight to the kitchen.

I hear my dad snoring on the couch so I know I have to be very quiet cause I don't wanna wake him up. I can't wake him up... I don't know what will happen. I quickly grab two apples, one for me and one for shadow. As I'm trying to sneak back out the door I hear footsteps. I had to run out as quietly as possible or else something could happen.
