The tingle was slight. A gentle, buzzing vibration, it's source long gone. His pants soft, lips wet with his companion's saliva.

" Let's make a promise," the spoken words were soft, almost lost to the gentle breeze. Corbyn looked to him, a silent question in his eyes. Fighting the constant longing to have their lips nuzzled together once more.

His question was met with wandering eyes. Flicking across the land, wondering what the answer might be. The question was carried on ocean currents, asking the pale blue fish swimming in their depths.

" That... we'll be together. Forever and ever."

" Forever and ever? That's a long time," doubt tainted the innocent reminder. Revealing the much darker source.

" How... how do you know we won't get sick of each other?" That you won't get sick of me?

" That's why you make promises. So no matter what, you know you won't walk away. You can't."

" I don't know," fear softened his voice and weighed down his eyes. Forcing them to study the grass, learning the little details that seperated one blade from another. Lithe fingers grasped his chin, gentle lips meeting his own. His return was slow, but sure. Melting against the taller boy.

" Don't be scared," the wind carried it away. Whispering it in the ear of those who needed it most. Wrapping around Corbyn's head, the words echoing in his ear.

" Forever?" The smaller whispered.

" And ever."
