Malik thought he had reached his limit, he thought everything was lost.
The relationship that he had with Jacob was coming to an end...or so he thought.
He was going to tell Jacob that maybe it was best to split up,
but his chest began to hurt and his little heart couldn't bare the thought of breaking up with the boy he loved.
So instead of breaking up with Jacob, he decided to talk to him about how he felt.
Telling him about the constant pain and the sadness that he was experiencing because of him.
Jacob said that he understood, and he began to apologize over and over again.
Malik did appreciate that Jacob seemed to feel bad about the things he did.
So of course he tried to forgive him and he decided to give him a second chance.
Once the second chance was given,
Jacob's behavior changed.
He began to be all cutesy and sort of more loving towards Malik.
And he loved that.
There were always good mornings, goodnights, I love you and I miss you...
As if he began to be his old self again.
But it began to feel sort of...forced.
He stayed silent about it, not wanting to jinx anything at the moment.
He had his boyfriend still and he didn't want to fight anymore.
Malik just shrugged it off and pretends he hasn't noticed.
Jacob was more interactive with him again,
he seemed more energetic as well.
But, they didn't talk as much as they used to.
There were no actual full blown conversations, every time Malik would try Jacob would only respond with "lol" or "oof"
That cause Malik's anger issues to spiral out of control,
he was getting angrier a lot faster than he used to..
But he tried to suppress it.
One day, Jacob began to show Malik conversations that he had
with his so called friends.
Automatically Malik began to feel horrible,
he saw the way his boyfriend talked a lot more to his friends than to him.
He saw how Jacob would engage in endless conversations with them.
But why not with him...?
He began to question himself over and over again,
"What am I doing wrong..?"
He asked himself every minute of every day.
He would spend countless hours just staring at the wall thinking about that.
He attempted to push those thoughts aside to try and enjoy their relationship.
Since they were still talking about leaving their troubles behind and moving in together,
Forgetting all the negativity.
But the fights only continued.
Everything was okay at one point but it went straight down hill when Jacob was showing him a message he got from a "friend".
Malik didn't like that message at all, he thought it seemed a little too...friendly.
It seemed more like they were beginning to talk as if they were a couple or wanted to be one.
Malik felt betrayed, and most of all he felt like a fool.
Jacob kept repeating again and again that it was only a friend.
But Malik has dealt with this type of stuff in the past... so he wasn't going to be played yet again.
The trust that he had for the male just disappeared into thin air,
as if it didn't even exist in the first place.
Jacob supposedly felt bad and kept apologizing to Malik but it was no use.
He was fed up with it all...
The fights just kept coming and it seemed to have no end.
But Malik's heart was completely set on Jacob...so he couldn't just end it easily.
He took some time for himself though, to think about a few things.
When he came back, finally calm and ready to talk.
He was met by an unexpected turn of events.
He only asked that they needed to speak...
Jacob automatically spoke out without knowing what he wanted to talk about and he bluntly said.
"If it's about us breaking up, I am okay with that."
Malik was completely heartbroken.
He felt as if his world just crumbled into a million pieces.
Tears streamed down his cheeks and just seemed to have no end.
He never expected him to assume something like that, and he
definitely did not expect the male to be so blunt to say he was okay with that.
Malik was destroyed...he didn't know what to do.
He was frozen while staring at his phone's screen.
His mind processing what had happened and he still couldn't rap his head around that.
Malik thought that Jacob loved him, but he got to see the truth from that simple message.
When you really love someone, you don't just come out and say that you're okay with breaking up.
You'll attempt to work things out as many times necessary...
Until you see that it's no use to try.
But...Malik was the one trying. He was the one fighting for their relationship when Jacob wasn't doing the same...and unfortunately Malik failed to see that.
So he god upset and he just couldn't believe it.
He replied to his message of course calling him out, thanking him for showing how he really felt about it...but that thank you was sarcastic.
He wasn't happy with that at all...
Jacob began to panic instantly saying that he didn't mean to assume anything...but the trust was broken so Malik automatically called Bullshit.
Malik had no way of knowing if this guy was telling the truth anymore,
he had no choice...
but to have to-
Let go of the one he loves.
Even though his heart was ripped to pieces,
and the pain will not subside.
He has to stay strong and know when to say-
enough is enough.
