The next morning, Lucas tiredly woke up and went to school. As he walked in the class he saw Emma near his desk. He frowned wondering what could she possibly be doing and walked over to her. "Good morning Emma" he said surprising her. She jumped and looked at him "oh, Lucas you scared me! Good morning" Lucas smiled at her "May I ask what are you doing in front of my desk?" She looked a bit worried for a brief moment before trying to cover it up with a fake smile. "Ah I was waiting for you. I wanted to know if my notes were useful" Lucas nodded "yeah, thanks a lot" he said not really believing her. "O-okay then, I'll see you after class!" She said before running back to her seat as she saw the teacher walk in the classroom.

Lucas sat in his seat 'was that really what she was doing here?' He thought. Diana, one of Lucas's friends and Dave's twin sister, witnessed the scene. She turned to Lucas and laughed "she got really attached to you it's kinda creepy" he sighed "oh not you again, stop talking and pay attention to class" he sighed as Diana chuckled "and as usual, you are very boring" she stated before turning her attention back to the teacher.

After class, Lucas sat with his friends. While they were chatting, he was busy thinking about this weekend. He couldn't wait until he got back. He was excited to explore around and open the other doors.

~time skip~

Lucas woke up earlier than he was supposed to and quickly packed his stuff. He made sure to bring the book and an orange notebook. He stretched before walking over to his parents' room and waking them up.

Robert groaned as he looked at his son "what time is it?" He asked "5:33 AM"
He frowned "it's too early. Wake me up in two hours.." he said as he turned on his other side. Lucas sighed and left the room. He wanted to get to the farm early so he could get more time to explore. He walked to his room and distracted himself on his phone for about an hour and a half before going to the kitchen and making breakfast for everyone. He then walked over to Robert and Hannah's room and woke them up.

After breakfast, the family got in the car and started their trip to their relative's house. Hannah smiled at her son "you're really excited to go aren't you? But what made you change your mind about that place?" She asked curiously. Lucas scratched the back of his head "heh, it just brings back so many memories and the peace and quiet over there is not something you'd find in the city." He replied as his mother nodded "I have to agree, it's quite peaceful around there"

Once they got there, Lucas jumped out the car and ran inside the house to greet his grandfather. He then went upstairs and set his bag on the bed. He took out the orange notebook and the family book and stared at them while thinking.

Hannah knocked on the door. "Lucas?" "Yes?" He replied as his mother opened the door and took a seat next to him. "What are you doing?" He smiled and showed her the book. "I'm just looking at the family book." She nodded and stood up. "Well that's interesting" she said as she looked at the pages of the book. "don't forget to come down for dinner. Everyone is waiting for you" she continued while walking towards the door.

He closed the book and put it back in the bag. 'I'll start investigating later tonight.. after all, we do have a long weekend' he thought as he thought about the fascinating things that might happen

time skip to later that night —

After Lucas made sure everyone was asleep, he crept out the house with his father's flashlight and a small bag that carried both of his books. He gently set his bag near the trapdoor and moved the weeds away from the entrance. Once he opened the door, he went down the stairs with his flashlight and opened the same door he opened last time he visited.
