Before The Storm

Chapter 9

Previously on Before The Storm: "What about you lying to Emily? Why'd you tell her dad was your Uncle?"

"I didn't want her to run her mouth and you find out from someone other than me or dad."

"Why'd you leave Leah the way you did?"

Sam

I just stare at her because she's right. I could have ended it better with Leah, but things didn't work like I wanted them to. Shes sitting there waiting for me to answer and I'm not exactly sure how that's going to work out for me.

"Sam, why are you taking so long to answer my question," Bella looks at me.

"I shouldn't have done that to her and I will admit to that. I fucked up by not letting her down gently and I know I can't fix that now. You know I couldn't tell her about this because God knows who she'd go telling."

"You do realize that she wants to leave," she tells me.

"She wants to go to college and I don't think I should hold her back."

"No, she wants to leave like Rachel and Rebecca did. She doesn't want to come back. If I lose a good friend bevause of you then know I wi'll never speak to you again. Paul, can you take me up stairs. I want to take a bath and go to bed."

"The doctor hasn't been here yet, babe. Why don't you eat then we'll head to the living room to relax," Paul tells her.

"Then can you at least carry me upstairs so I can use the damn bathroom," she says.

Embry picks her up out of the chair and carries her up the stairs. I know he'll be waiting for her to get done so he can bring her back down here.

"So, why'd you ignore me when I told you not to come over here?" Paul asks looking at me.

"We need to talk it out Paul. I don't want her thinking I didn't want anything to do with her. I treated her like shit when we first met, and that's because she was an outsider. Little did I know that I'm also an outsider."

"You're not an outsider and neither is she. I think what you need to do is talk to Leah. If you clear the air with her and she tells Bell, then I think the two of you will be good. I do agree with her on one thing though."

"What would that be?"

"If Leah leaves town then you and I are no longer speaking. I don't give a fuck if you're the Alpha or not. She's been my friend since birth and I'm not going to let you run her off." He grabs a beer from the fridge.

"Do you honestly think that will help? She's a wolf so I don't think she'll be leaving," I blurt out.

Bella

As Embry is carrying me back down the stairs I hear Paul telling Sam that if Leah leaves he's never speaking to him again. I hear Sam say that shes a wolf so she wouldn't be able to leave. I squeeze my arms around Embry's neck and he looks down at me. I shake my head because I couldn't blow up. When Embry sits me down in the wheelchair I ask him to go grab my phone from the living room. Sam looks at me and opens his mouth, but Paul cuts him off.

"Have you talked to dad?" Sam asks.

"Why?"

"There was a spotting in Portland."

"Damn, it Sam just fucking go home!" Paul tells at him.

I felt all the breath leave my lungs and I know I'm losing oxygen. I couldn't breath and I could black spots in my vision. I couldn't bring myself to say anything and the next thing I see is Embry kneeling in front of me. He was in Portland and he could be coming after me.

Paul

I watch as Bella's eyes roll back into her head and I tell Sam not to fucking come back until he can learn to shut his mouth. I call the doctor and Charlie telling them that she passed out. Charlie says the sighting was no good, but he was still out there. The doctor tells me that he's almost to the house. I have Embry try waking her up so I could take Bo outside. Charlie pulls up just as the doctor does and I see another car speeding down the road. I look at Charlie and he shrugs his shoulder.

"Where's Bella?" Phil jumps out of the car.

"Inside. She passed out when Sam told her that there was a spotting in Portland. Why? Is everything okay?"

"Hunter was in Portland. He met up with Renee and she told him to head to Forks as that's where she was staying. I'm not sire if he's made it here or not, but we need to be safe about this," Phil says.

I holler for Embry and tell him to send out a mass text to the group. I have him tell every one except for Sam and Emily to get their asses to my house now. The doctor says everything is okay now, but to let her rest.

"What's going on?" Embry asks coming out of the house.

"Hunter was in Portland. He's either in Forks or on his way to Forks."

"How the hell did he find out where she was?" He asks.

"Renee," Phil says before I could.

"Why did she tell him?" Charlie looks him.

"She has always thought the world of Hunter. After everything happened to her, Renee had the audacity to tell her that she and Hunter should get married. Renee has the fact that Hunter can do no wrong even now. She said he should've never been thrown in jail for that."

"Why the hell shouldn't he be in jail?" Embry growls.

"Because Bella asked for it," Phil says.

A/N: Sorry for it being a short chapter, but it wrote it's self and I thought itd be good to end it here.
