After the reception Erin escorted Emma out and she hopped into her little bug and off she went to New York. She had to stop and pick up a few things from her old apartment before going back to Yale. Emma hated driving, it cost too much and it made her sleepy.

Luckily, New York was only an hour away from the mansion. In the elevator of the hotel, 2 businessman came in. Emma went up to floor seven, room three and opened the door with her old door key. She opened the door and there was a letter on the table? The only person she told she was going to New York was her sister Erin. The letter read "To The Lovely Emma" on the front and once she opened it, it said "Meet me on the top of The Statue of Liberty. -Secret Admirer" Intriguing, yet creepy Emma didn't know whether to go or leave New York.

She thought about anyone could've known, the note must've been from someone at the funeral, but who? A stranger? Michael? Either way Emma wanted to find out, so she got in her little bug and off she went.

How could I get this girl to talk to me? At least get to know me? Michael thought. After the reception, he and Lola, his half sister, went to their home in The Big Apple. They lived in large apartments and were in the penthouse suite. All Michael could want, prostitutes, money, and a care free life, except he didn't like woman. He liked men. Especially the ones with dark brown hair and sky blue eyes. He was a sucker for the most generic man. Only he didn't care. He hadn't told his parents or anyone about his interest, and though it was time for him to share with Lola.

"I'm gay." Michael said, although the words felt weird on his tongue.

"What do you mean?" Lola's mouth dropped and her hand hit her forehead.

"I can't believe you would tell me this NOW! You know we have to go to Moms house tomorrow. She's expecting you. And she has NO idea you're GAY!"

The disappointment in Lola's eyes set Michael into a frustration frenzy. He began to kick he doors and smash vases, then he felt a nudge on his arm.

"I'll always love you Michael, no matter what or who you like. It's just hard for me. Heck what if we liked the same guy?" Lola always knew how to cheer him up, and he gave a light grin.

"Thanks Lola."

"You know we have to figure out how you can go with a girl. You know how m is about gays. No offense."

"Hire someone to be my girlfriend, just for the trip to moms and to see our siblings. What about Emma? She seemed to like me? I could tell her I'm gay and maybe she'll understand and try to help me."

"Maybe, maybe." Lola said, the concern in her voice was obvious.

So, Michael wrote Emma a note, and over hearing Erin talking to Emma about going to Emma's old apartment, gave it to the apartment manager to put in her room.
