"Thank you Laney. And Emma you're late."

"Thanks mom. I know. It took me a while to decide to leave or come in."

Emma always had sass no wonder everyone thought she was like her mother.

Walking into the reception room for the funeral, Emma noticed people crying. People. Crying. For her dad? The man who beat her and her sisters? She couldn't believe it. None of her sisters were crying. Except Emilee. Emma knew her father would never truly love anyone but himself so it was hard for her to figure how he'd been away on a "business trip" with his associate Marley. They had been doing sexual things together for the past 3 years. Marley and John went to Paris. In Paris, they were in a car accident together. That's when everyone knew. John had been cheating on Jamie.

Although, when Emma walked into the funerals wide doors she saw a man. Tall, about 6 foot 3, dark complected, crystal blue eyes, a tight jaw line, and a sultry smirk. That was enough to make her melt. She'd never seen this man before, although if he was related to her father, she'd be outraged. She noticed him staring at her too, only more like a meal. He was hungry, scary, intimidating , and sexy. All these things were rushing through her mind, then the girl beside him saw Emma, and gave her a look that could've froze the devil. That look hit Emma like a pound of bricks. Of course he had a girlfriend. Of course she was insanely beautiful. Of course. She walked to her seat with Erin.

"His name is Michael."

"What?"

"I saw you staring at him."

"Was it that noticeable?"

"Yeah."

Emma blushed and threw her head down and talked to Erin about her life thus far. Then the violin started playing and everyone was quiet.

She was late, but he'd never seen anything like her. She was a whole new meaning to beautiful. Her hair in a messy bun, baggy shirt, and jeans. What was so attractive about her? Was it her body? Was it her perfectly white teeth? Michael didn't know but he wanted her. He watched as she walked up the aisle.

"You're gay, remember?

"Who is she?" He asked his half sister, who was sitting beside him.

"Her name is Emma Rose. Johns daughter. The girl walking with her, is Erin. He had 5 daughters. Gosh, 6 counting me, but we have different moms. Thankfully."

"But we have the same dad, sadly."

During the whole conversation his eyes were locked with Emma's. He must've been obvious but he didn't care. Then the violin started playing and everyone was quiet.
