The man in the mask walked in front of Jacob, stealthy and attentive. The elementary playground was eerily silent, and from the figure with burning red eyes, came an unearthly growl. Jacob shuddered.

The moonlight cast long shadows along the ground. With every step, Jacob could hear a faint crunch of pebbles beneath the man's feet.

"You can hide, but you can't run. And neither could your little brown-haired bitch." The voice was low, distorted, and hellish. "Eventually, you must come out. I've got all night." He gave a devilish grin, that rather resembled a horrific snarl. His razor sharp teeth glistened in the moonlight like polished titanium.

Jacob cowered lower to the ground, perched behind a park bench. All was silent for a little moment. Suddenly, a loud voice came from behind him.

"COME HERE YOU LITTLE BRAT!" Pebbles loudly crunches behind him, and began to grow louder.

Jacob screamed in terror, and immediately returned to his feet. Like a deer pursued by a wolf, the man in yellow chased Jacob around the playground. Jacob danced through the jungle gym, the figure closing in on him. Closer, and closer, and closer.

Suddenly, the masked evil grabbed the back of Jacob's shirt, and put a hand over his mouth. Jacob jumped in shock.

As Jacob opened his eyes from his nightmare, he sighed in relief. "It was only a dream", he said to himself. He made himself a glass of water, and got back in bed. Within minutes, he was drifting away, into the cool black of sleep. His eyes closed, completely relaxed.

A hand fell over his mouth. Panic began to sink in, Jacob struggled to rid himself of the hand. As he opened his eyes, he saw one thing. A thing that would haunt him for the rest of his life. The same glistening red eyes, hellish grin, and yellow mask as before.

The demonic voice spoke softly, "Shhhh... It'll be alright. It'll all be over soon."

The figure continued to hold Jacob's mouth and nose, and Jacob's lungs burned from lack of oxygen. He began to see stars, the room began to spin, and everything went dark.
