This is a follow up of the last one where they find Bucky's great, great grand nephew. An orphan boy by the name of Peter Parker.

Peter is not Spider-Man in this, though he does have a certain ability that you'll find out about soon. He does have a Stark Internship though.

He's 13 when he meets Steve and Bucky.

_-_-_-_-_

Bucky and Steve were waiting patiently in a New York bay.  They had been told that a living relative of theirs had been found. A young boy named Peter Benjamin Parker, who was his sister's great great grandson.

The boy had agreed to meet up with them. And he knew sign language so that was nice.

The mates were signing under water when a boy matching Peter's description showed up. "Hello?? Is anyone out there? I'm Peter!" They surfaced and smiled. "Hi Peter! I'm Steve! This is Bucky. It's lovely to meet you!" Peter beamed. "Yeah! It's nice to know I have some family left. Everyone else is kinda... not so alive..." The two winced. Peter brightened. "Hey! I wanna show you something."

The mates looked curious. Bucky gestured for him to continue. Peter smiled and started to strip down. The two were startled when they saw nude patterns resembling scales all over his arms, legs, back, just everywhere really. Peter cracked his knuckles. "You guys are gonna love this."

Then he dived into the water. Steve and Bucky watched in shock and awe as his legs fused together into a tail and the scale patterns formed actual scales. His tail was red, blue fins, with white, web-like patterns throughout. He had a few scales dotted in clusters around his necks, down his spine, arms, around his wrists like bracelets and such. Gills opens up on his neck and his fingers webbed together.

He gave an experimental wiggle and turned to the two stunned mates, giving them a smile. He poked his head above water.

"Wha-But... How??" Steve asked, incredulously.  Peter rubbed the back of his head nervously. "My parents. They took DNA from a siren they killed and mixed with an embryo from the two of them, making it partially siren. Then placed it in my mothers womb for the next 9 months. I was that embryo. The first 11 or so years of my life was spent as an experiment. Then they, myself and my aunt and uncle, were in the car together. We got hit and knocked off the bridge. They drowned. I, obviously, couldn't. Authorities found me washed up on shore later, back as a human. Everyone just assumed it was some sort of miracle. I let them. Because i'm only partially siren, I can still talk. I can sing too. It's just not nearly as powerful as a normal sirens."

Bucky and Steve gaped at him for a moment. Peter grew increasingly nervous and started fidgeting with his hands. Then a smile started to grow on Bucky's face. He beamed brightly before tackling Peter in a hug. The teen looked startled but happily reciprocated the hug.  Bucky looked back at Steve and signed, "We're keeping him."  Steve laughed into the water and nodded, swimming closer to the pair.

He let out a startled yelp when a hand made of water snatched out and dragged him into the hug. But then he smiled and easily hugged back. Eventually the broke apart. Bucky looked at Peter hopefully.

"Maybe we could be your family now?"  Peter smiled softly and nodded. "I would like that."

Bucky and Steve both smiled and hugged again. Peter pulled away, looking serious. "I still want to go to normal school though." Steve nodded. "Easy enough."

The small family spent hours more together before eventually Peter had to go back to the orphanage. He promised to visit often though. The mates gave him a kiss on either cheek as a goodbye.
