Quick AN I have not and will not be seeing ENDGAME anytime soon so this book is safe from spoilers, anything that takes place post Infinity War will be false, if I do end up seeing the movie.... maybe after a couple of new Marvel movies come out to cushion the blow, I will add (EG) to the titles of the chapters to warn anyone who either wants to avoid it or has not seen it. That's all goodbye.

Peter's POV

After the building collapsed on me, I haven't been able to sleep it's been over 6 months. To avoid the nightmare, and panic attacks May lets me go to the tower whenever I want no matter the time, as long as I text her. Normally Uncle Loki comes to school with me as my service animal, Pops will meet me in the mornings for a run with Uncle Sam (this made me giggle), and Dad lets me work in the lab with him, but tonight the team was on a mission and wouldn't be back for two more days. I text May to let her know I'm going out and put on my suit before jumping out my window and heading to the tower.

Aunty Tasha normally records herself singing a new lullaby in Russian before they leave incase I can't sleep so as I get to the tower I see the tape sitting on the coffee table waiting for me. I normally take it to my room in the tower and play it until I fall asleep, but tonight I head towards Dad and Pop's room because I miss their smell (am I the only one?) and they normally don't change the sheets before a mission, something about coming home and going straight to bed still in their suits.

As I get into their bed and pull the warm blankets up to my chin I see Dad's old reactor sitting across the room creating a light blue glow. Quickly crawling out of bed I gab the glass case and set it Dad's pillow before getting comfortable again and pressing play on the recording. This time I'm surprised though it's different.

"Hey ребенок паук normally I have a song for you but this time your dad's want to try something new, love you sleep well and see you soon"

"Hey Bambi Pops and I miss you and promise to be home soon, but here is a special song for you."

[Pops]

[Dad]

[Both]

Baby mine, don't you cry.

Baby mine, dry your eyes.

Rest your head close to my heart,

Never to part, baby of mine.

Little one, when you play,

Pay no heed what they say.

Let your eyes sparkle and shine,

Never a tear, baby of mine.

If they knew all about you,

They'd end up loving you, too.

All those same people who scold you,

What they'd give just for the right to hold you.

From your hair down to your toes,

You're not much, goodness knows.

But, you're so precious to me,

Sweet as can be, baby of mine.

Tony's POV

Thank the gods we had Loki to help otherwise we would not be able to come home early. Steve is wide awake but you can see it in his eye that he just wants to sleep. After flying for hours we see the tower come into view and I can't wait to crawl into bed and pass out on my husbands warm chest where I plan to stay asleep until next week.

{Time skip cause I'm lazy}

Steve is carrying be as he thinks my dislocated knee is still healing even after Bruce realigned it, as we near our room I hear the recording we made for Petey.

"Babe I think little Bambi missed us, listen"

"Aww poor baby he must have had a hard time sleeping again,"

We enter our room to find our little spider in the center of the bed surrounded by our pillows with the recorder on the pillow next to his head. Surprising both of us is that he has my old reactor clutched tight to his chest, his soft brown curls resting on the glass with a small smile on his face. Steve lets out a soft chuckle before placing me on my side of the bed and gently taking the glass case from Peter's hands and placing it back on its shelf and climbing in on his side of the bed creating a Peter sandwich. My son instantly shifts so that is head is on my chest next to my reactor, and Steve wraps his arms around us as we drift off to sleep.

Looks like we found a way to keep Peter asleep since his accident, although he will always deny it he now had my old reactor on his nightstand at May's and both of his rooms are filled with a soft blue light to replicate the reactor, a 12 hour loops of mine and Steve's song and a ton of our hoodies that once our 'scent' as he calls it is gone is replaced with another until we wear the old ones again. Little Peter may be the big strong Spiderman but he will always need his nightlights.
