Okay guys this is seriously long overdue. But I am here to post a partially rewritten version of Purple Eyes. I am stopping Inside Insantiy for now so I can focus on this.

Now, I warn you. This will be extremely confusing and different. When I started writing this book, I had no idea where it was going to go and how it will end. I though I could just roll with it. I know I am very mistaken because the beginning does not match up to the end at all, and I deeply apologize. I am rewriting the a lesser majority of the book, and editing the rest. It will take awhile, but I want to make this happen. I have been delaying for too long.

The AMAZINGLY BADASS COVER was made by my bestie @xoserenity who I also dedicated this too. Love you boo <3

I am debating over deleting the old one once I finish, so I'm gonna let you decide.

Its been a year guys, but here you go:

Chapter 1

Serena

A slap of a ruler awakens me from my daydream.

"Miss Hope!!" Mrs. Grinch, my AP History teacher barks "Homework. Now."

I grin up at her as I take out the 500 word essay. I worked all day at the library yesterday, trying to escape the fate of going home. It was what I did often, taking unneeded extra credit reports get out of the hell that awaited me.

"Here Mrs. Grinch." I say as I hand it to her. She scans it quickly, then smiles a small, unused smile. She had a nice smile I guess, but the fact that she never used it diminished it. But, I don't question. I know I'm the same, wallowing in my loneliness. Mrs. Grinch, despite her domineering personality, had to have some niceness in her, I knew.

"Bright as always Miss Hope. But that doesn't mean you can daydream in my class. Back to work." She moves on to the person behind me, her scowl returning. I faintly hear her scold the kid behind me, focusing on my doodles on my note filled notebook.

She went onto the front of the class when she was finished, standing tall, before addressing the class. “The Administrative would like me to inform you that an exchange student from Massachusetts is coming in an hour. He came from an academy in Salem, and wants to experience public school. We want you on your best behavior. We know this is short notice, but we were only contacted today that he was on his way here.”

The kid behind me, Jeremy or Jarred or something like that, raised his hand, a policy in Mrs. Grinch’s classroom. “Jarvis?” Mrs. Grinch acknowledges. Ahh, Jarvis, thats his name.

“If he’s like, from Massachusetts or whatever, why doesn't he go to a public school in Sarlim.”

“Salem..” I correct under my breath, receiving multiple eye rolls from my neighbors.

“He was sick of same old Massachusetts and wanted to try something new. Now, be on your best behavior alright? We don't want him flaunting to his friends about how horrible our school is.” Multiple people mumble “yes” quietly and Mrs. Grinch nods in approval.

Throughout the whole lesson, I fidgeting in my seat like I always do. I was always a person who liked to move around, yet I couldn't play a single sport. I could never sit still and I was constantly moving, so long lecturing classes like History was my Achilles heal.

The next few morning classes passed quickly, and I was now in English. By far, it was the worst lecture today by far. We had a substitution last class and he thought we hadn't learned the material. I had taken all the notes I needed the other day, and didn't need this idiotic lecture.
