ℂ𝕙𝕒𝕡𝕥𝕖𝕣 𝕋𝕙𝕣𝕖𝕖

I walked out of class and walked to my locker. I opened it and put my books inside then grabbed my Doritos because I hate the cafeteria food.

I closed my locker and walked to the cafeteria, where I saw Lauren, her brother, Johnny and his friends. Which included Hayden. What the hell are they doing there.

I walked up to the table they were at and they looked at me, "hi guys." I said shyly, "Can I borrow Lauren for a minute? Thanks." I said and grabbed her arm.

I dragged her outside and she looked confused, "Lauren, what are they doing at our table!" I whisper yelled.

"I invited them." She said, "this will be your chance to talk to Hayden, properly– don't act crazy." Lauren said, for the last time, my imaginations don't make me act crazy.

"You know I can't properly talk to him." I exclaimed, making air quotes around 'properly'.

"Well, I can't just send them away, now let's go." She said dragging me back inside. We took a seat and I felt like throwing up the butterflies that were roaming around in my stomach.

Lauren, Johnny and Carson had their own conversation while I tried not to look at Hayden.

"How was class?" He asked, try to make small talk, "i-it was fine, and yours?" I asked hesitantly.

"Boring." He said with a small chuckle and I laughed along with him, "hey, why aren't you eating the cafeteria food?" He asked, realizing that I only had Doritos.

"I'm not that hungry, and I don't like the food here." I said remembering how disgusted I looked when I ate the food for the first time.

He chuckled, "I don't blame you, I don't even know why I eat food from here." Hayden said pushing away his tray of food.

Finally, I'm talking to my crush in a proper way but I still feel a bit shy. As we were talking, I suddenly imagined him smiling and we were holding hands, and he was shirtless.

I blushed and looked into his eyes, "Annie? Annie?" He called my name.

I snapped back to reality and shook my head, "Annie, are you okay?" Hayden asked and I didn't say anything.

I realised I was touching his, I quickly removed my hand from his and my cheeks turned red.

"You zoned out a bit, are you okay?" He asked, "yeah. I'm fine, sorry for um.. Touching your hand there." I apologised.

"It's cool." He said smiling. The bell rang, jeez where were you when I need you?! I thought to myself.

I stood up and threw my Doritos away and waved Hayden goodbye as I walked to class with Lauren.

"Soo... How did it go?" Lauren asked wiggling her eyebrows, "don't even ask." I said and took a deep breath.
