In-car

Barun was driving her car. Surbhi was blaming herself for everything; the mess caused in sets is all because of her; if she hadn't shared a past with Nakuul, nothing like this would have ever happened. Everything would have gone smoothly. Now everything is ruined, the male lead of the show is excited after one month, she was worried about the controversies it is going to create, and the media will spice it up. She thought about how social media fans will react to it; they are the ones who get easily offended for every small issue. Will the trp audience accept a new face as the male lead? Will the show go under the scanner due to this issue? How will other cast members treat her or react with her? How will she adjust to all these? Will it affect her image? Will it change the perception of others seeing her?

Suddenly thoughts about Rey come into her mind. She was a wreck now. It's the last chance of Rey if he couldn't make it alive, what she will do only God knows. She was praying for his survival continuously.

Tears started flowing her eyes unknowingly, she wipes them away, but she couldn't control them as her pain was unbearable. Her heart ached in pain.

Barun stops the car, Surbhi gets a jerk. She looks at her brother with teary eyes. Barun gets out of the car. She waits for him to come back but sees him strolling around without any care. She gets irritated by his attitude; she gets out of the car and walks towards her brother furiously. She holds his hands.

Surbhi - What's wrong with you, Bhai?

She speaks rudely

Barun holds her shoulder, and he glares at her

Barun - What's wrong with you, my sister?

He softens at her

Barun - You know you can share with me anything. You can share your burden with me, surbhi. I am here for you always no matter what. I am your brother, the one with whom you tie Raksha Bandhan every year, and it's my duty to protect my sister against all odds and make her feel secured and safe.

Surbhi breaks into tears and hugs barun. She cries harder to lessen her burden. Barun returns the hugs, comforts her, and calms her down with sweet talks and funny memories of their childhood.

Barun makes surbhi sit on the nearby bench.

Surbhi - Bhai, everything happened due to me in sets. I was the reason if I hadn't shared a past with Nakuul, then nothing like this would have happened.

Barun chuckles at her. Surbhi stares at him with wide eyes and hits him on the chest.

Surbhi - What type of brother has God given me? The one who laughs at his sister's tragedy

She dramatically looks at heaven with hands raising. She peeps at her brother to see his reaction, and he was trying hard not to laugh at her antics; finally, he gives up and bursts into laughter, bringing a smile to surbhi's face.

"Look which two idiots are here laughing like a maniac."

Barun and Surbhi look at the person's voice; the moment surbhi sees him, a blush adorns her face. Her crush was in front of her face. A person who is surbhi's first love, a poor soul one-sided love. The guy who always looks after her like a sister is what surbhi thought always. The best friend of Rishabh, Varun Toorkey.
