**a few months later**

Monse and Cesar are officially together and I accepted it. Manny and I been struggling lately. Every time a guy complements me he's ready to argue with them and then argue with me..

Manny's changed and I'm not liking it..

Manny told me his 17 year old half brother Danny just moved in with him and he wants me to meet him

"I don't even know what to wear." I said in my closet

"Pick something out..Danny is difficult to talk to and he's very annoying." She said sitting on my bed

I finally found me a outfit, I wore a black crop and light blue ripped jeans and dark blue Vans. My hair was in curls.

We arrived at Ruby's house and Renee and I walked in

"Renee." A guy said hugging Renee while I hugged everyone who was here besides Manny..

"Danny you can let go now." Renee said while she rolled her eyes.

"My fault." Danny said and he had a rose tattoo on his body

"Anyways Danny this is Malu..Malu this is Manny's annoying ass brother Danny." Renee said and Danny licked his lips at me and smiled

"Great to meet you." Danny said

"Same." I said

"Where's Manny?" Renee asked

"He's helping my father at his store." Jamal said

"Christmas is in three days..sleepovers here?" Ruby asked

"But aren't your parents gonna wonder why a bunch of teens are sleeping over at their house?" Monse asked

"My family are going away..they'll never know." Ruby said

"I'm down." Cesar said

"Same here." I said

We all agreed that on Christmas Eve we'll be having a sleep over at Ruby's house.

I am at Manny and Danny house since we all three wanted to go to the movies to see the movie Countdown.

"Scary movies are the wave." Danny said

"Word." Manny said

"They okay..I don't watch scary movies unless I'm with friends or family." I said

"Punk." Danny said

"I really don't like scary movies." I said

"It's okay..if you run I'll chase you." Danny joked

"Aight calm that down, you ain't chasing no one." Manny said

"It was clearly a joke." I said

"A joke my ass." Manny said

"What's good with you?" Danny asked

"Watch you say to my girl." Manny said

"Manny you are doing the most." I said

"How am I doing the most?" Manny asked

"Look at the way you acting right now." I said

"Cause I said what needed to be said?" Manny asked

"Den was obviously joking around like you just-" I said rolling my eyes

"Just what?" Manny asked coming in my face like he was gonna hit me

"Move get out my face." I said pushing him out of my face

"Watch your hands." Manny said grabbing my wrist roughly

"Yo bro chill out." Danny said moving Manny out of my face

"You chill out." Manny said

"I'm going home." I said standing up and I grabbed my small purse and went downstairs and Danny followed

"Malu hold up." Danny said and I turned around

"What." I said

"Why you going home?" He asked

"Your brother is being extra right now, I don't have time for his bullshit." I said

"But the movie is about to start soon, we already bought the tickets." He said

"I'm sorry Danny but I can't with him. You clearly saw how he was acting towards me..I'm surprised he's letting you come talk to me right now." I said

"He was about to come chase you but I told him
I'll talk to you and he just shrugged his shoulders like he ain't care." He said

"You see..he's putting on this I don't care act and I'm seriously about to end it with him." I said

"Just chill and I'll talk to him..so let me take you home cause people be acting stupid around this time and I don't need you going home by yourself." He said and we left the house

We was talking during the whole time he was walking me, we even exchanged numbers. We then arrived in front of my house

"Thanks for walking me home." I said smiling at him

"Of course no problem, I'll talk to my brother and get him straight. Text me or call me if you need anything." He said

"I will." I said

"Goodnight." He said smiling

"Have fun at the movies, be safe..let me know when you get home." I said

"Bet." He said

"Goodnight." I said and I closed the door
