The steamy hot beef and mash potatoes that stared up at me stay there untouched as I felt eyes on me around the table.

"Everything go ok at school Leigh?" I nodded answering my mom's question as I took a sip of water from the glass.

"Can I be excused?" I asked pushing my plate away from me. My mom pursed her lips in a thin line before glancing over to my dad.

"You feeling ok Leigh? You didn't touch your food." He asked raising a curious eyebrow. I nodded adding a smile to show that I was fine. He motioned that I could leave and my chair scraped loudly against the floor as I left from the table.

I heard my parents murmur conversation once I left before I shut my room door. I sighed deeply half running my fingers through my curly hair only getting them stuck in the process.

I untangled my fingers from. My hair and sprawled out against the bed. I closed my eyes still seeing that guy sitting on the swing glaring at me. Why was he glaring at me in the first place. Did I interrupt his concentration in whatever he was doing?

I noticed my homework spread across my desk making me groan. Homework was the last thing that I wanted to do right now but I knew my parents wouldn't accept anything less than a B.

I slowly dragged my feet against the carpet as I set myself in the chair. The passages all seemed blank in my mind as I re-read them only to be stopped by a knock on the door.

"Come in." I called over the rustling of papers. My mom cracked the door open before poking her head through with a small smile on her face.

"Love we have guest, you should come say hi." She suggested. I shrugged before setting my pencil down and tying my unruly hair in a bun.

I followed my mom out of the room and down the stairs to see a group of unknown people.

"Leigh-anne, these are the Styles. Anne and Des this is my daughter Leigh-anne." my mom introduced. I smiled politely before shaking their hands.

"Leigh-Anne nice to meet you this is my daughter Gemma and my son Harry." I shook Gemma's hand who gave me a warm smile. I gasped under my breathe noticing the face of the guy that was on the swing to be Harry. He seemed to notice my reaction causing him to wink in my direction.

I looked back down at my shoes knowing that he had recognized me too but it all confused me. Why was he glaring at me in the park but now winking?

"Harry is actually going to the same school Leigh-anne is." I forced a smile once Anne glanced over at me for a reaction. My mom raised her eyebrows before turning to me.

"Leigh maybe you can show him around the school then." I sneaked a glare at my mother under my lashes before nodding.

"Sure, it is a big school so why not." Anne smiled happily before turning to Harry to see him on his phone.

"Sorry about him, he misses his girlfriend. He hasn't stopped texting her since we left." Anne said letting out a laugh. I forced a small laugh before glancing over at Harry to see him staring at his mom after she mentioned his name.

My eyes dropped back to the floor as Mom, Anne and Gemma engaged in a conversation about college that I half listened too.

Des and my dad seemed to start up a conversation about sports. I wanted to go back into my room and finish my homework so I wouldn't have to do it the morning of.

"Leigh-anne would you mind putting those dishes in the sink for me?" Mom asked, looking up from her conversation with Anne.

I silently nodded collecting the half filled plates and carrying them inside the kitchen. Their voices turned into murmurs as I exited the living room and threw out the left over food.

My nose scrunched up in disgust as bits of food got stuck inbetween my finger nails. I sighed heavily once I rinsed the plate and my hands off.

Even though the warm water that trailed over my hands caused me to relax, I couldn't fully considering that there could possibly be a crazy person in my living room. Ok that was a drastic statement when I don't even know the guy properbuly. However, I do know that he was just sitting on a swing in a haunted park staring at the ground, spacing out.

Or maybe I'm just paranoid even thinking that the park is haunted. I nodded answering my owns thoughts before letting out a sigh feeling my dad behind me.

"Dad why aren't you out there with Des?" I asked curiously. He probably came to check on me since I hadn't ate that much of dinner tonight.

"We'll hunny I decided to come in here and help you because it's so much better." I jumped as the plates clanked against each other. I span around quickly to see who the deep voice belonged too.

I pressed my lips into a thin line and gripped the sink behind me while he leaned against the door pane. My reaction seemed to amuse him as he raised an eyebrow. I didn't say much, matter of fact I didn't say anything resulting us into us being in a pool of silence.
