Yoongi walked along the streets of new York being recklessly pulled by his dog holly. His world recently had seemed to become a metonomus mess, he continually did the same things over and over again.
Get up, sell his soul to the devil making crappy music for upcoming artists, walk holly, eat, sleep and repeat.
with each crappy hook and bridge Yoongi felt a part of him die inside.
he'd always wanted to make music even as a child, he practically grew up with a piano under his fingers.
he thought that taking this job at title one records would finally give him the big break he was looking for.
he'd finally be able to make the music that was constantly bouncing around his head or poorly scribbled in his crappy notebook that he carried around.
however his "big break" was not all it was cracked up to be.
instead of making the music that he wanted, yoongi was stuck write catchy poppy tunes for the new young and hip artists.
yoongi never fully understood his line of work.
if you were going to be an artist wouldn't you want to make your own music?
don't you want the lyrics to come from your own heart?
how do these guys not have the overwhelming feeling that they are sellouts?
questions like these constantly plagued yoongi's mind.
however he constantly repressed them because no matter how poor the lyrics yoongi made were he was still doing what he loved making music, and he'd go through all the metony and various feelings in order to keep doing what he loved.
yoongi's thoughts came to a stop when he reached his destination jin's cafe.
it was his favorite cafe, his safe haven, the place he could go when he just wanted to escape the rest of the world.
opening the door yoongi embraced its familiar ring as the smell of fresh baked cookies filled his senses.
"Yoongi! good to see you! the usual i'm guessing?" an overly peppy Jin greeted.
Yoongi nodded in response and proceed to sit down in his normal booth by the window,
he loved this booth for two reasons one, it overlooked a beautiful park which provided a peaceful atmosphere for his writing
Yoongi had always made a habit of coming to Jin's after a long day at work because he found it was the best place to write down all of the lyrics that had been flowing through his mind throughout the day.
it was the perfect system, after a draining day of work he could sit here and watch the people around him, eat one of jin's famous cookies and it was as if the lyrics just flowed out of him at that point.
Normally yoongi would say that his second reason for loving this booth was that he could always get a great whiff of freshly baked cookies coming out of the oven
however recently things had changed.
it wasn't that yoongi suddenly didn't like the smell of freshly baked cookies anymore it was just that something else had began to occupy his senses.
which leads us to yoongi's current second (okay maybe now it's his first) reason way he loved this booth it gave him a front row seat to his favorite dance show.
somewhere within the past few months a street performer had began to have routine performances right outside yoongi's window
from the first time he saw the man set up, yoongi was awestruck.
