It feels like a tight rope is tied around your lungs. You can't breathe properly, so your breath hitches, your breathing gets faster. Your mind is racing with the worst scenarios, replaying them over and over again. You start to count. Your steps, the things around you. You try to distract yourself, but it won't work. It never does. You start blaring music through your headphones. For a moment, you can concentrate on the song. But then it starts all over again, and there is no way out.
