I wake up to a loud annoying sound with a bright, warm light shinning on my face. Ugh, he's snoring again. After looking at the time, I turn on my back and look up at the ceiling. I'm never going to fall back asleep. I get up to look down at where my bestfriend is sleeping. All these years and I'm still not used to his snoring.

I place a foot on his side and wiggle my toes on his ribs. I smile, knowing if he was awake, he'd try to tickle my feet. He groans and turns on his back, making me jump. I grab my pillow and throw it at him, making him shoot up stunned. He starts scanning the room making sure everything is okay before settling his eyes on me. I can't help but giggle at the way he frowns at me.

"Your annoying." He mutters, throwing himself back down with the pillow over his head.

"Your snore was annoying. All night." I say, stepping over him to get to the bathroom. He throws the pillow at me and I fail miserably to dodge it. I stick my tongue out at him and slam the door. I shake my head after seeing my grinning self in the mirror. He's the only one that makes me feel like this.

I truly love messing around with Ronnie and I know he loves it too. We've been bestfriends since freshman year. Honestly, at the beginning of our relationship, he used to act the way he does now and I would get upset at him. Maybe it was because I felt our friendship wasn't at the point it needed to be at yet or maybe it was because he was the first guy to treat me like that, but I used to think he was crossing some sort of imaginary line. I even thought that he had some sort of secret crush on me. Everyone at school thought we were in some sort of secret relationship. Of course, that all washed away when he started dating Ashley. Then it resurfaced when Ronnie broke up with her because she didn't like the kind of relationship we had.

I'm snapped up from my thoughts by Ronnie's pounding on the door. "Nikki, get out! Your gunna make us late on the first day."

We arrive at the school just in time. The bell rings just as we get to our first period class. It turns out me and Ronnie have the same class. As soon as we both walk in, I can feel everyone's eyes on us. I roll my eyes when I see Ronnie's current girlfriend, Kim, all the way in the back. She just had to be in the only class Ronnie and I have together. Ronnie looks at me sheepishly and goes to sit next to her. I'm forced to sit on the other side of the class, the only seat left.

I sit down and get settled in. The teacher starts to talk about how fun the year is going to be because we're all seniors then he lectures about how life will be after we graduate. His enthusiasm is a little annoying.

My phone buzzes in my back pocket. I pull it out and see that Ronnie texted. I look over at him to find Kim looking right at me with burning eyes. I quickly turn my attention back on my phone. She's freaking weird.

 I know what your thinking...

 What?

Your thinking about the teacher. He's annoying. And about me. You wish I was next to you to make you laugh.

Received: 7:45 a.m.

I smile down at the text. He knows me so well. I look up at Ronnie and find him peeking his head over Kim. He lifts his head higher to show me he's smirking. I wave my hand at him and roll my eyes dramatically. I can hear him chuckle as I turn my attention back to the front.

Time is going by so slow. The bell finally rings, making me jump. I look up, searching for Ronnie but his desk is empty. That's my bestfirend. The thought sneaks in my head sarcastically. I scold myself mentally. It was probably Kim's fault.

Lunch time couldn't come any quicker. I'm not really hungry but I really need some fresh air. My stomach has been driving me crazy lately.

Strong arms wrap around me, pulling me from my thoughts. "Hey beautiful." The sound of his voice gives me a tinge of disappointment.

"Hey babe." I mutter. Don't get me wrong, I love my boyfriend. He's tall, strong, and smart. He's on the football team and he's always been so independent. He's the perfect ten, it's just... well, um... sometimes I wonder if... I shake my head at the thought. never mind.

Jeremy pulls me aside to a more quiet hallway. "Hey, are you okay?" He says concerned.

"Yeah," I lie. "I've been feeling sick lately."

"Oh, well, I can't afford to get sick." He says jokingly while backing away. I lunge and quickly hug him before he can get away. He hugs me back tightly, making me smile. I look up at him, to give him a quick kiss, but he leans in and kisses me softly. After a second, the kiss starts to heat up, giving me chills. He pins me against the wall. I can feel every inch of his body pressed up against me. My hands trail up his chest, to his neck. All I can think about is what happened the last time we kissed this passionately. What we ended up doing...

"Ew, get a room." The familiar voice causes Jeremy to groan. He places his hands on either side of my hip before pulling away from the kiss. He looks down at me and rolls his eyes dramatically. Peeking my eyes over Jeremy, I find Mary with her arms crossed, staring at us. I smile and look back at Jeremy.

"I have to spend my lunch out by the field. The coach is pulling some stupid meeting. I'll see later babe." He says, kissing me quickly. "Bye, Mary." He yells, running off.

I look at Mary accusingly for ruining the moment. She starts to act surprised, putting her hands up. "What? I thought you guys were going to pull each others clothes off right here. I was just saving you the embarrassment of anyone else catching you guys." She laughs at her own joke, making me smile.

We walk out to the courtyard and see Ronnie sitting with a whole group of our friends. They stay there for about fifteen minutes after we arrive but then decide to go hang out behind the school. They invite Ronnie but he just tells them he'll catch up with them later. As everyone starts leaving, I notice that Kim isn't anywhere near. Where is she?

"Where's Kim?" I ask, casually sitting next to Ronnie.

"She had to leave early for some doctor's appointment." He waves his hand uninterested but then looks at me weird for a second. "You didn't get lunch?" He says surprised, then changes his expression to a more concerned look. "You didn't eat breakfast this morning."

"This morning?" Mary asks, raising her eyebrows.

I ignore her, hoping she'll forget the question. She'll be pissed if she found out me and Ronnie had a sleepover that she wasn't invited too. "Yeah, my stomach's been weird lately. I can't keep anything down and when I do, it's only because I'm super hungry." I hear a gasp come from Mary. Yup, that did the trick.

"Still?" She says with her hand to her mouth. I open my eyes wide and kick her signalling her to shut up.

"What do you mean, still?" Ronnie asks Mary but looks at me, waiting for an answer.

"Um, it's been a couple days but I'm sure it's nothing." I say, smiling nervously.

Ronnie looks at me speculatively about to ask me something else but one of the guys call him from across the courtyard. He gets up, narrowing his eyes at me. "This conversation isn't over." He says before walking away.

I let out a sigh of relief. "Mary you need to chill. You can't say things like that around Ronnie. You know that."

"Sorry, it's just..." She pauses then takes a deep breath. "Your 'stomach,'" She puts her fingers up in air quotes. "could be telling you something."

 "Like what?" I scoff.

"That you're pregnant." Mary whispers harshly. I stare at her wide-eyed, in disbelief. How can she say that? I mean, that's crazy... but that would explain a lot.
