      "Pass me that red wire?"
It was ‪3 am‬. Tony had made Steve stay and help him with his work again. Steve sighed and closed the book he had been reading. He got up, took the wire and held it out to Tony. Tony stared at it for a moment before Steve realized his mistake.
"Oh gosh, I'm sorry, I forgot that you don't like being handed things."
He put down the wire on the table in front of Tony.
     "Thanks, Cap."
Steve sat down again and watched Tony for a few minutes before saying, "I don't understand why I have to be here."
Tony didn't answer for a moment, but then he said, "You don't."
     "Then why am I here?"
"Because I asked you to help me out."
"You obviously don't need my help, you've been doing fine by yourself for the past three hours."
"You helped me with the red wire."
"Tony, it was two feet away from you, you could've gotten it yourself."
"So if you don't wanna be here just go."
Steve hesitated. "I didn't say I don't want to be here, I said I don't understand why I have to be here."
"And I told you that you don't have to be here, and now you're distracting me from my work, so kindly get your ass out of my garage."
Steve looked into Tony's eyes for a brief moment, then walked out and muttered, "Language."
