When they pulled up in front of the shawarma place, Thomas told them that he would wait for them outside. Tony and Steve got out of the limo and walked into the restaurant. There was no one in there except for one employee. They walked up to the counter and ordered sandwiches and then sat down. Tony kept looking out the window and Steve kept looking at Tony.
"So, Tony, why have you brought me here today?"
"What? I can't eat shawarma with my best friend without you thinking that I want something from you?"
     Steve raised his eyebrows.
"Cap, I just wanted shawarma and I didn't wanna go alone, okay?"
"So why didn't you call Bruce or Thor?"
"Eh, I'd rather be with you."
Steve smiled and said, "Well, I appreciate that."
The employee brought them their sandwiches and they both ate in silence.
When they had finished, Tony said, "Steve, you know how your jacket was in my room, but you left it in the garage?"
     "Yeah..."
"Well, when I saw that you left it, I... I put it on. I got a little drunk and I guess I... fell asleep in it. It was a really comfortable jacket."
Steve laughed. "I'm glad that you were comfortable. You can have that jacket if you want, I have three of them."
Tony smiled and said, "Thanks, Steve."
"By the way, Tony, I'm sorry that I threw up on you last night. The truth is, the ride reminded me too much of a rollercoaster, and those make me really nauseous."
"When have you ever even been on a rollercoaster?"
"One time Natasha and I had to investigate something for S.H.I.E.L.D. at an amusement park, and if we were just walking around it might've looked suspicious, so we had to go on the rides. I puked twice."
Tony laughed and then said, "Well, if we're confessing things, I don't like being handed things because when my company sold weapons, I would always be handed things to sign for shipments. But when I was held captive, I saw that my weapons were being used to kill innocent lives, and I realized that when people handed me things, and I accepted it, bad things happened. So, I guess now when I'm handed things I get triggered and I feel like something bad is gonna happen."
Steve frowned and said, "I'm sorry, Tony. I would never hand you anything bad."
Tony smiled slightly and said, "Okay, your turn."
Steve thought for a moment. "Well, when I first met you, I thought you were the most selfish diva I had a ever seen."
Tony put his hand on his heart and pretended to be offended.
Steve smiled and said, "But now, I realize that you're actually a softie in need of a friend."
Tony grinned. "Wow, you know me better than I thought. Alright, last confession. The truth is, I started to have you stay with me when I work for company, but now I make you stay because... I want your company. I... like you."
Steve couldn't believe what he was hearing. Was it possible that Tony felt the same thing that he felt?
     "I like you too, Tony."
"But... I don't just like you I... like your smile. And the way you scrunch up your nose when you're concentrating on something. And the way you run your hand through your hair when you're stressed out. And the way you look into my eyes before you start talking about something serious."
"Tony... are you trying to tell me something?"
"God, Steve, are you really gonna make me say it?"
     Steve looked into Tony's eyes.
"Alright, Steve," he sighed. "I love you. I'm... in love with you. I know it's crazy... but I can't help it."
     "Tony I-"
"Spare me, Steve. The truth is, I'm going away for a while. Top secret S.H.I.E.L.D. stuff, you know? So I just figured the best time to say something would be now. So don't lie to me just to make me feel good, okay. It doesn't matter. I just had to get that out."
"Tony, please, let me talk, okay?"
     Tony nodded.
Steve sighed. "Tony, I've been having these weird feelings since the day we met. I ignored them for a while, but as I spent more and more time with you, they sprang into full force. My heart would pound when I heard your voice on the phone, I'd get lightheaded every time our hands touched when I'd pass you wires, I'd want to kiss you every time you looked into my eyes. I had no idea you felt that way... I would've said something sooner but... you know, I figured, someone like you would never like me that way."
"Are you fucking crazy? You're the one who couldn't like someone like me. You fucking cunt, how could you not tell me sooner that you felt the same way? I've been dying for years over you, you fucking-"
Steve kissed Tony quickly on the lips to shut him up.
It was a sweet, tender kiss that made them both sigh contently.
When they broke apart, Tony saw that Steve was blushing, and he smiled.
     "Cap?"
     "Yeah, Tony?"
"I like that way of stopping my cursing more than 'Language.'"
Steve laughed. "I'll keep that in mind."
