Evie woke up with a yawn. It was 7 am, a week after Ben's coronation. She looked at Mal's bed. Weird, it looked like nobody slept there. Usually, Evie had to push Mal out of her bed. She shrugged. Maybe Mal got a call from Ben? No, she would've heard that. Maybe she is in the bathroom? She looked into the bathroom. No Mal. Her head was full of thoughts and worries. Where could she be? She decided to tell Jay and Carlos about this. But first, she had to get dressed, ofcourse.
Ten minutes later, Evie knocked on the boys' door. No answer. She sighed with the thought that they were too lazy to get out of their beds this early. She knocked again, harder. No answer. She became to worry again. Evie decided to just open the door silently. She peeped through the doorway. The beds looked like nobody slept there, just like Mal's. The bathroom, empty. Maybe Ben could know where they were. She called him, voice mail. She called him again, voice mail. She also called Jay, Carlos and Mal twice, voice mail.
She knocked on the door of the dorm room Ben shared with Aziz. She knew Aziz trained pretty early in the morning, so Ben would be alone. If Ben was there... Nobody opened. She knocked again. 'Ben!' She screamed, not too hard to awake everyone. She just opened the door. Nobody, once again, slept in Ben's bed. She looked at Aziz's bed. Somebody slept in that bed. Evie looked into the bathroom, no Ben. She started to hyperventilate a bit. What if Doug, one if her best friends, disappeared too? The blue-haired girl almost runned to his and Chad's dorm room.
She hardly knocked on the door. Evie definitely lost her patience, and she had much patience. She didn't care at the moment if she woke him up, or not. 'Please, Doug! Open up, please!' She thought. She knocked again. A deep sigh relieved when the door opened slowly. 'Evie, what's wrong?' Doug asked yawning with a sleepy head. 'Doug, Mal isn't in our room! Jay and Carlos aren't in theirs and Ben isn't in his! Their beds look like nobody slept there! I called them, voice mail!' 'What?' Doug looked at Chad's bed. 'Uhm... Evie...' He gulped when he pointed at Chad's bed.
Evie entered Doug's room and looked shocked at Chad's bed. 'Doug, were you late up at night?' 'Yeah, our study meeting in the library leaked, why?' 'I was late up too. I didn't saw Mal in her bed, so I thought she might be with Ben.' Evie explained. 'When I came back from the library, Chad wasn't in his bed either. I thought that maybe he couldn't sleep, or that he was making fun with the team, or maybe had a date, or something. Where could they be?' Doug thought out loud. 'Oh, I wish I knew!' Evie started hyperventilating. 'Evie, please calm down, I promise I'll help you.' Evie started breathing slower again and smiled at him, wich made his heart beating a little faster.
The two teenagers both screamed when a black smoke appeared around them. Without saying anything, Doug and Evie grapped each other terrified. Doug tried to protect Evie, while Evie tried the same with him. They disappeared and slowly opened their eyes.
