Chapter 1:Werewolves

(Matts POV)

Let's get this straight im a werewolf,I can shift whenever I want and I can mind-link any other werewolves I want.I only know of one,my best friend Anna.We protect each other.She protects me from chicks and I protect her from guys.Like if a chick starts flirting with me she will act as if she was my mate,and vice versa.We aren't dating but a lot of people like to think we are.

We are a pack,we try to find other werewolves.So far no luck.Its us against the world,and we like it like that.Let me explain shifting,I can shift at will,and control what I do except on a blood rage,a blood rage is when a werewolf goes to long without eating meat or gets so pissed off that we just shift and kill anything and everything.So far I haven't had a blood rage.

I only know about this because Anna went on a blood rage during a poor hunt in the winter,we hadn't ate meat in a few days and she just shifted in the middle of the woods and tried to eat me.Luckily she managed to shift back before she did.

I want to clear up misconceptions about werewolves,we are not mortal enemy's with vampires,or any other creature.We don't have enemy's,we dislike creatures at times but we try to keep calm and stick to our packs.

I tend to wear a lot of black,so everyone calls me emo,I also wear this crescent moon necklace identical to Anna's.Its a moon catcher.It stores moon light so we can shift,each shift costs a little moon and we refill it by shifting at night in the moonlight.If it runs out we become weak and are stuck in whatever shift we are in.

If we ever took it off we wouldn't be able to shift,we would be stuck in the form we were in,if it's shattered we die.

(Anna's POV)

I walk into class and I see Matt writing,I just sit behind him and sleep.I was asleep for probably for a few minutes when I'm awoken by Matt screaming at me in mind-link.I look up and I see Jack(the school jock)with his fist clenched to Matts shirt.Matts lifted off the ground by his shirt and is brought to eye level with Jack.I mind-link Matt 'Remember the rule,no shifting' he replys with 'your telling me,just get me down!' I walk up to Jack,using my sweetest most innocent voice possible "Could you please let my friend down?"He laughs,and ignores me.I see him raise his fist and I forget about mercy,I kick him in the nuts and he drops Matt,using wolf strength I punch him in the nose,I hear the bones cracking under my fist.

Matt and I walk out the room,off campus and into the woods.Using mind-link we agreed on ditching school to blow off steam.Once we are deep into the woods we shift.I smile as I feel the fur grow out and I fall to all fours.Matt does the same.When we are in wolf form we speak in wolf language.

"Run?"I ask."Run."He replies.We take off at full speed,the wind blowing through our fur,everything going great.Until we run into a broken nosed pissed off Jack,and his friends...
