Chapter eight

"Have you summoned Konan, orochimaru and pain?" Sassori asked deidara.
"I did, they'll be here in a week..." deidara said
"A week??? We need to get hinata back..." sassori snapped
"We will sassori... just calm down... i assure you" deidara said.

Hinata looked intently at sasuke, as he kept feeding her. After she ate, he brought her water to drink, she spilled some however she managed to drink.
"Thank you.." hinata murmured and sasuke hummed.
Sasuke turned around, he needed to ask a question. He needed some answers, how could be someone so deadly and ruthless like Helen still care about his comrades, maybe she is just fake and putting on an act, but it seemed real. How come she didn't use her Army, she could have wiped many of konoha's ninja's as Akatsuki was now the most powerful army and shinobi's yet she choose not to.
"Why did you take your maids place." Sasuke cracked the question.
"Someone like you, heartless shall never understand... whats the meaning of sister, family and friends..." hinata spat.
"And what do you know about me" sasuke growled back.
"I know nothing about you, but i have an experience in reading people, to know that you are lonely, ever since you lost precious people, you don't want to approach anyone so you won't get hurt, you choose solitude because its safer than loving and worrying about anyone, you think everyone would leave you eventually so you built a fortress around your heart, so you won't get hurt, you hurt those around you, because you are scared to be hurt. You are weak in the inside but you choose to show how ruthless and heartless you are..." hinata said as tears started running down her face.
Sasuke's eyes widened, he never knew someone could read him like an open book, except for hinata.
She did press on that string that he tried to longly burry.
"Be..because in the end...you are just like me... sasuke-kun" hinata was surprised as she said sasuke kun.
Sasuke was bewildered, yes, this same gentle voice echoed through his mind.
"Sasuke-kun...sasuke kun...saskuee kun..." hinata's gentle voice that echoed inside.
The girl from his dreams.
Sasuke gritted his teeth and slapped her again.
Hinata let out a cry. She fell on her side, crying.
Sasuke gasped and came to his senses, hinata was right in every word she said.
Sasuke was scared..to get attached. He never let anyone cross his heart. Except for naruto and the girl in his dreams. But she was just an illusion until he truly saw her. Maybe he believed Helen was the reason his family was dead because he wanted to believe it. He just was scared to fall for those lilac eyes, he was scared she'll leave him like his family did.
Sasuke saw hinata crying on her side, he wanted to approach her, hug her, take this pain away, cut the hand that hit her. But he choose to walk away.
Sasuke took off to the bathroom, he needed to shower. Water had always calmed him.
Sasuke put his head under water he closed his eyes and started having some flashbacks when he entered the bathroom suddenly as his mother was giving some girl a shower. She had the same lilac eyes as Helen, same inky hair, smooth pale skin.
Sasuke walked out of the shower, put on his pants, and headed to his bedroom.
He decided to sleep.

"MOMMYYYYYYYYYY" sasuke woke up to a scream coming down from the main room.
It came from none's other than hinata.
Sasuke flinched and ran down heaving and panting.
To find hinata clutching the sofa, and screaming..MOMMY, she was sweating and sobbing mess.
Sasuke shook her. Until she opened her eyes that was full of tears.
Sasuke then looked at her terrorized eyes. Hinata was panting mess.
She then calmed and gulped.
"You were having bad dream.." sasuke said stoically, he knew how does it feel like because he had the same experiences every single night.
Sasuke went and brought her a cup of water.
"Thank you..."hinata said with a shaking voice as she looked intently to the cup.
Sasuke was standing in front of her, waiting as she gulped the water and her breathing went steady.
She then started.
"I...i lost my mother...and my family..." hinata's voice cracked. Sasuke was listening intently but still stoically.
"I.." hinata gulped as she tried to contain herself and not to lose her composure.
"I..saw them.....him...killing her..."hinata stuttered and her voice shaken.
"Her...her blood..was..all over me..." hinata sobbed...
"I...i...am sorry..., i just...i just wanted to talk..." hinata cried as her face crumbled and her tears fell on her lap.
Sasuke was shocked, hinata was in pain just like he was, both shared the same pain, suffering, but she was to a certain extent... Gentle, caring about her comrades.
Sasuke's body moved on its own, he suddenly pulled her roughly tightly into his embrace.
Hinata was shocked as such act. She sobbed inside her jailer's embrace, wetting his chest.
All of a sudden, sasuke felt a strange chakra, he felt as an electric ball aimed from behind at them, sasuke took hinata, and dodged.
He activated his sharingan, hinata looked intently,
She knew these guys. The Ōtsutsuki.
"Sasuke...look out" she yelled as a kunai was aimed towards him, she ran and pushed him out of the way, dodging the kunai.
Sasuke activated his chidori, and aimed towards the culprits, but they were stronger, they dodged and attacked back, hinata ran towards them, she kicked them at the back of their knees, they cringed and looked behind them, hinata kicked their faces but some dodged and some took the hit.
She can't do much as her hands were still bonded and her chakra was drained.
Sasuke was amazed at her still ability to fight.
Sasuke battled some of the attackers, then he reached for hinata's shackles, unbounded her.
Hinata gathered her chakra and activated her Byakugan, and her twin lion fists, she attacked, then she held sasuke's hand, uniting their chakra, with one hand she released a chidori.
The culprits retreated.
Hinata looked at sasuke into the eyes, she gave him a gentle smile then she lost consciousness, sasuke held her up, placed her gently on his bed, he looked at her beautiful sleeping face. Her lips were slightly parted, her hair was spread around her like a halo, she looked like.... mikoto.
Sasuke brushed some bangs to see her face, he found himself stroking her cheeks, and giving her a smile.
He lied by her and for the first time, sasuke didn't have a nightmare.

The next morning sasuke woke up, he found himself nuzzling towards hinata's warmth. He blushed and got up quickly.
He went to the bathroom for his morning routine.
His mind was drowning in thoughts on why still hinata protected him yesterday even after what he had done to her.
And why he feel somehow different around her, why he loves her gentle voice, he sees her beautiful, he dodged the attack and protected her as well.
Can it be?
His train of thoughts were cut when he heard a voice calling his name from no one other than the blond best friend of his.
"Sasuke..." naruto greeted
"Naruto..." sasuke greeted back.
"I need you to come with me... there are things we need to discuss...." naruto retorted.
"I'll follow you shortly to the hokage's office." Sasuke said, naruto nodded and took off.

"Long time no see, sasuke" jugo gave sasuke a smirk.
"Sasuke i missed you..." karin smiled as she gave sasuke a hug. Sasuke cringed.
"So whats the deal..." Suigetsu asked.
"I need you to protect the girl inside..., she musn't come out at any time, keep an eye on her...she may want to runaway, and for your record, she is extremely powerful...be sharp" sasuke said stoically as he ordered his former Taka team and took off.
The team looked at each other puzzled.
Jugo went inside to see the sleeping beauty, indeed she was perfect.
"No wonder why sasuke is keeping her..." jugo smirked
"I never saw sasuke being...somehow... being..overprotective..." karin retorted
"Indeed, i think he has a change of heart..., he never praise anyone..." Suigetsu smiled.

"Ahaaa sasuke, finally you came" naruto said
"Make it quick...i need to go back" sasuke retorted.
"Sasuke... listen... we need to tell you something" naruto said
Sasuke listened intently.
"The girl you are keeping...are you abusing Helen" gaara asked with a tone of anger.
"And why do you care, its none of your business" sasuke felt a tinge of jealousy.
"Yes it is my...she is Hinata...." Gaara yelled.
"She is my best friend..." he snapped.
Sasuke was full of rage and jealousy, no one calls hinata's his best friend... not even a male.
"Guys calm down... we are here to discuss an important matter" Naruto snapped.
"Listen sasuke.." shikamaru started.
"Hinata, Helen is part of the prophecy, she holds the beast that was far unknown for many years, it was sealed like naruto holds kurama, if they got her and you, the Ōtsutsuki, they'll destroy the earth, add on, they are igniting a war against the Akatsuki to weaken us." Shikamaru continued, as sasuke's eyes were widened.
"Hinata... she was part of team seven, i don't know how come you or her never remembered each other or even us... however she has the Beast." Shikamaru continued as sasuke gulped.
Team seven, remember..beast..those words echoed through sasuke's mind.
"Wh..what beast" sasuke stuttered.
"The four tailed wolf...the know bandit spirit of the underworld...if the Ōtsutsuki got it...hinata will be dead..we need to protect her." Naruto said
Sasuke gulped..hinata's dead..he can't let her die, he..he can't lose her, not again. He wont lose anyone he loved again.
Sasuke felt pain in his heart, and a wet on his cheeks, he reached for it, he looked... it was a tear.
Sasuke was crying.
