Whatever is in bold is speaking in Korean.- Author Jj
(Noah's POV)
'Great just great' I thought. It's been a week since my mom told me we were moving back to South Korea and she said it may be for good. Now we are on a plane and on our way to Korea. I had a great life in the USA in Los Angeles. I had a good group of friends and most of my family lived there. "Hey Noah?" My mom was calling me. "Yes?" "Look I know this is hard for you considering all your problems and everything and me having to be gone but try to make friends and please check in on the house with the maid every so often." "Sure... whatever." I mumbled.{ A connected flight and 10 hours and 50 minutes later}
We grabbed our luggage from the luggage claim and waited for our ride to arrive. Since we weren't going straight to where I was staying we got an Uber and drove to our new 'place'.
When we got there I called the one person I trusted the most and had my most prized possession. "Hello?" "Hey Mimi it's me Noah where are you and my little girl?" It was the maid/nanny Mimi. She would clean and take care of our house and my baby daughter, Choi Luna Bong-Cha Rodriguez, she was like a mom to me since she basically raised me and has been there from when I was a baby to when my parents got divorced and when I had my baby. "Oh hey Noah, yes we are on our way our flight was a little delayed but we'll be there in a few minutes." "Okay see you here, bye!" I hang up the call and I go to see my own room and my daughter's room.
I decide to just explore for a while until they arrived and then I would get ready to go to the place I was staying in since my mom didn't like me staying in the house even though Mimi was going to be here and I'm pretty much an adult but since I didn't know the place well and Mimi would just stay at the house most of the time she is going to take me to my childhood best friend's house.
{A few hours later}
"Noah cmon grab your bags we got to go!" Yelled my mom. "Coming!" I yelled back. I went to say goodbye to Mimi and Luna and told Mimi I would stop by and check in often. I hopped into my car since I was going to need it so I would park it over there. I just followed my mom until we got to the place. I knew they had moved houses because I remembered that they used to live in the field. Even though I know I'm only going to stay here during most of the school year and part of summer I knew I was going to hate it.
We went up and my mom knocked I left all my bags in the car and I was already getting an anxiety attack. A nice familiar face opens the door. "Choi Ji ah!" Said the lady. "Kim Ro-hee!" (Sorry I don't know Taehyung's parents' names.). My mom said. They start having a conversation I could understand but couldn't jump in and join. "And this must be your daughter am I correct?" She said. "Oh yeah this is Noah she can understand Korean but can't speak it well". Said my mom. I just bowed as a response. She then told us to come in and she and my mom continued talking. Then Mr. Kim came in later and they proceeded there conversation.
After I haven't seen Tae in the while we've been here I asked Mrs. Kim where he was with my translator. "Oh yeah, he's upstairs because he is part of a kpop group and has his band mates over. Let me call him. Kim Taehyung come downstairs we have visitors!" I got kind of nervous. I was prepared but I thought what will happen?
(Tae's POV)
I was at home about a week ago when my mom told me we would have a visitor here. I was not really happy about it. I tried to convince her to tell them they couldn't stay but she said it's an old friend and can't refuse. {a week later}. I was now in my room hanging out with my band mates and I hear my mom say, "Kim Taehyung, come downstairs we have visitors!" I was like 'great right when my friends are over'. "I'll be down in a minute!" I yell back. I tell the guys I would be back in a few minutes. They all nod and talk to each other. I run downstairs hoping I could just say hi and leave but then...I see my childhood friend I always called her by her middle name Mi-Sun. She looks so different. Her hair was shorter and she had a more mature, beautiful face. But there is one thing that changed that I noticed right away. The brightness of her eyes. They were so much more dull and sad. And I wondered why. "Earth to Taehyung, say hi." My mom said. I blinked back to reality "Huh? Oh hello."
(Noah's POV)
"Huh? Oh hello." Waved Tae. "Taehyung you remember these people right this is my best friend since high school and her daughter your childhood best friend." I just looked down because I was nervous. "Oh Taehyung she doesn't speak that much korean anymore would you like to take her upstairs to hang out?" Asks his mom. I really wanted him to say no because I really wasn't in the mood and I knew he had friends over. "Sure. That would be cool." Fuck. I follow tae upstairs "don't forget she can still understand korean."(Tae's POV)
"Okay mom thanks!" I said sarcastically. "So Mi-Sun how you been?" No response. I turn around and see her just following me with her head down. Right! She didn't speak Korean well but she could understand me. "Oh right sorry I forgot you can't speak Korean well... but can you write in Korean?" I was hoping she said yes or nodded. She nodded "Okay then if I ask you a yes or no question you can just nod or shake your head and if I ask you a different question you can write I have a notebook you can write in. Okay?" She nodded. "I will also tell me friends the same thing." I smiled at her. "Okay let's go meet my friends!"{~*~}
