Loss and Reprise

Loss and Reprise

In short, I've found the ending

Of a treasure, left lamenting

In a cavern called loss and reprise

Through the kismet and the clamour

In a scene I can't remember

Where the dark and the light still collide

And I've shouted to the Heavens for ages

Searched through the depths of unknown

And the reward for the path I have wandered

A voice that's left strained, a life full of pain

I've sinned and I have suffered

For the callow and the meaningless

To find we're just shapes in the dark

I've battled for the innocent

The truth, the lies, the covenant

For a glimpse of the beauty inside

And I've shouted to the Heavens for ages

Searches through the depths of unknown

And the reward for the path I have wandered

A voice that's left strained, a life full of pain
