ASR's Pov:-

I entered my cabin to see so many files on the table,,
Did this Ms.Gupta really did what she said
I don't think so,, maybe these are the files related to other departments

I sat on my chair & I was about to check the files when I heard a knock on the door

ASR:-Come in

when I lifted my head to see who it was,,It Was khushi who entered,, she looked very tired,,

Khushi:-Sir these are the reports of the files that u had assigned me,,let me know if der are any corrections sir,,I have already crosschecked it,,so I dont think der are any

She said without looking at me but looking at the files on the table

Somewhere behind this ASR,,Arnav regretted the words that he had told her,,these are the files which atleast need 3days to complete,, I think she hasn't slept the whole night,

Khushi:-Let me know if der is any changes sir

She said without looking at me and left

What the hell! Why is she not looking at me and talking
I was irritated

I checked the files,they were more than perfect,,I went to her cabin to see the door slightly open I could hear her speaking with someone

Khushi:-Yes Ma,, U dont need to worry I will have my food,,Yeah!! I know I have my lunch box

I think her mom again said something on the other side of the phone

Khushi:- mom it's not like that I was in hurry so I couldn't have breakfast,, Fine ma i will,, ok bye,, preeto is calling.

Whose this preeto now I wondered...
Why the hell do u care ASR!!(my mind reminded)

I was about to leave but I stopped again hearing their convo

Khushi:-Payal & Preeto Sorry i couldnt call u yesterday,,my first day of my work didn't go as my expectation

she put her phone in speaker mode and continued doing her work

Preeto:-Khushi,Aunty told that u r not eating anything from past 2days,,day before yesterday night u didn't have anything,, yesterday morning u had nothing,,yesterday night u told that u had in office it seems,,Which I know is a great lie,, tell me what's your problem?

Khushi:-I thought my first day of work would be very memorable Payal,, but here?
Yes it will be a memorable one how can I forget the insults of great ASR,, you know What preeto as u only said I hadn't eaten anything from past 2days,, yesterday afternoon I somewhat felt very tired so I chose to eat despite my work,, but my boss instead thought all the shit that came to his mind and spoke all nonsense.
How much time does it take to have lunch preeto,,2min! 5min! Ok hardly 10min.
Would he build A Tajmahal in that 10min?

Payal:-Khushi,Now don't think about things that have already happened,,give some break for that little brain of yours & Now have ur lunch I will call u @ night

Khushi:-Ok Bye Payal! Bye Preeto!!

I heard everything they spoke,,now I regretted for the things that I spoke to her,, she could have told that she hadn't eaten anything from past 2 days right? But no she chose to be silent, What did I do here?

I saw her going out and I instantly ran out from there to hide..
ASR What Are u doing!!this is your own office and you are hiding(my mind reminded)
Ohh U shutup,,I said to my mind

She went out and now she was standing der feeling the fresh hair,, then she went towards a small girl who was standing at the gate

Khushi:-hey Hi,, whats your name?
She told in a childish way to the small girl

Small girl(Cutely):--Neha

Khushi:-Hi neha,,what are you doing here? Why are you alone?Where are your parents? Are U Lost?

Neha:-I dh..ont know yes..cher..day i, daddy and mommy were in the house,, then some..bodhy came to the house my mommy was very much afr..aidh she thold me to hide in the war..drhobe & thold me not to come out,,then I heardh some gunny soundh af..ther some time I wenth to see mommy and daddy they both didh not th.alk to me they both were shleeping shilently on the floor,,I think th..ey are ang..ly on me,,then evelybody thook my mommy and daddy somewhere I dhonno,,my lelatives were fighthing and they shcolded me shaying ur the reason for their death andh left me alone in that house,, I was vely muchh hungly didi so I came outh to eath..

Khushi was crying with neha,,
My heart ached hearing her story and seeing both of them cry

Khushi:-Neha ok now don't cry,, take this box first,,have your food.

She wiped her tears & then she took her box and gave it to Neha,,she made her sit on a bench,,then she started eating.

Neha(while eating):-didi can I not shee my daddy and mommy again?Can I thalk to them?Al they angly on me?

Khushi:-They Are not angry on u nehu,,If You be crying like this they will get angry on you,,they like u very very much,,they want you to be very happy,,they have gone to God Nehu and your mommy and daddy will be seeing you from the sky ,,they have become stars,, they will shine only for you,, you can talk to them nehu,,they can hear you,, they want to see you growing,, studying,, working,, marrying and have a happy family,, for that u should work hard and study well baby

Neha:-Ok didi i got it,, I will not cly,,I dhont want my mommy and daddy to be sad

Khushi was looking at Neha soo lovingly and stroke her hair

You are looking in the same way towards khushi Mr.Asr(my mind interfered)
Ohh u shut up ok,, I said to my mind

This girl herself has not eaten anything since 2days and looks so tired,,somebody should offer her only to eat,,but she has given her box to an unknown girl without even thinking about her for once

Then she called someone on her phone

Khushi:-Bhai i need a help,, I need permission for an hour,,I will be back in an hour,, I will tell you everything after I return bhai,, for now plz help

She hung up the phone
I wondered who is this bhai that would give her 1hour permission when I am the boss here
Am I a joke to her?

Then my phone rang it was Aman I picked it up

ASR:-Yes Aman,Speak!

Aman:-Sir actually,Khushi...
I mean Ms. Gupta needs permission for an hour sir

Ohoo So This is The Bhai That Khushi was speaking to,, but when did this happen? I thought

ASR:Reason?

I asked despite knowing her reason to an extent

Aman:-I think..she

ASR:-Fine permission granted(looking at khushi)

I hung up the phone

Khushi phone rang she picked up

Khushi(excited):-yes bhai!!Aww thanks bhai,, I will treat you for this,, ok for now bye!

What the!!I am the one who gave her the permission & she's gonna treat him ah?

ASR Why do you want her to treat you?,, don't you have money to buy your own food?(my mind again)
Oh yess why do I need her food I have enough money to buy for myself

Khushi got up from the bench and made Neha to stand at the front on her scooty

And I followed her,,Jus Curiosity!!Nothing else.
He started his car and and followed her

But who knew this curiosity would lead Khushi and ASR to their unknown journey
