8 AM, Friday (I don't know what day the snap happened)

Your house

Your POV

The sun shone through my windows and woke me up. I turned over in my bed to look at my clock. Shit. I'm late for school. Why didn't mom or dad wake me up?

"Mom! Dad! Why didn't you guys wake me up?" I yelled from my bedroom as I began to get dressed.

After a moment with no answer I yelled down again, fixing my shirt, "Mom! Dad! Is everything okay?"

No answer. Weird.

I began to make my way down the stairs when I smelled something burning. I bolted to the kitchen. No one was there. Then, I checked the living room, their bedroom, the garage where both of their cars still were.

"Mom? Dad? Stop messing around. Where are you guys?" I noticed that the T.V. was still on and went to watch it, looking at the headlines.

People are disappearing all around the world. One second there, gone the next.

The newscasters kept going on and on about how people started randomly disappearing into dust. My mind started racing as I went back into the kitchen; I was hoping I wouldn't find anything, but I did. I didn't know what to do, so I just ran out of the house. Immediately as I got into my car, I picked up my phone and started texting the one other person I couldn't lose. Peter.

-Peter?-

-Please tell me you're okay-

-Peter, please answer your phone-

-I need to know that you are okay-

-I swear if you went into that spaceship thing, I'm going to kill you!-

The only place I could think of driving to was Peter's. I needed to make sure he was okay. As I was driving, people were outside of their homes freaking out. Nobody knew what to do or what was happening. The whole world was falling apart. Cars were left stranded in the middle of the road, people were crying or were looking for people. Driving down the street was pure torture. Cars would stop randomly and getting around them was difficult. I tried to drive as fast as I could down the freeway and just as I was getting off a car stopped. I swerved and hit the brakes as hard as I could. The car went out of control and the next thing I know, I crashed.

I don't know what happened. Me head was spinning and I could tell my nose was bleeding. A sharp pain was going through my ribs and it hurt to move my right arm. After I caught my breath, I turned around to look at what had been done to the back of the car. Something had fallen on it, powerlines no doubt. My mind started racing, I can barely move, and any second those lines could potentially shock and kill me. For the first time ever, I couldn't think of what to do. I was stuck and I couldn't think of a way to get out. If I open the door, I could get shocked but if I don't, I can't touch the car and the ground at the same time. Worth the risk.

I opened the door with my left hand slowly, no shock, but as I moved I felt it. A surge of electricity went through my body and I yelled in pain. It wouldn't stop, the pain and shock stayed. I tried to fight through the pain of it, and forced myself to get out of the car. When I hit the ground, I caught my breath and stared at the ground. My eyes then went to my hand where little sparks or lines of electricity were coming from my fingertips. What was going on? I'm definently not dead, I seem to be uninjured except for what the crash caused. Once I regained my strength I just decided to run the rest of the way to Peter's apartment. It wasn't that far anyways.

I ingnored the pain that was still going through my body, I had to see if Peter was okay. As I reached his apartment, I was bascially banging on the door. Please be here, please be here, I begged to myself.

After a moment, the door opened, but it wasn't Peter who answered.

"May? Your alright." I said as I hugged her.

She hugged me back as I began to cry in her arms, "They're gone, my parents, they're gone."

"It's okay, it's going to be okay." She whispered in my ear.

When I gained control over my emotions I asked her, "Where's Peter?"

She turned away from me and began to pace back and forth. Her eyes started to tear up, "I don't know. I haven't heard anything from him. I tried Ned's place, but he wasn't there. Then I saw what was on the news."

"What was on the news?"

She looked me dead in the eyes, and led me to the TV. She rewound the channel to yesterday and there he was. Spiderman going up into space.

I didn't know what to think. There was no way of telling if he was still alive or not, and it killed me that I didn't know. I looked away from the TV and groaned from the pain in my side.

May looked at me, concerned, "What happened to you?"

"I crashed and then something weird happened."
