I stared out the window of the car, watching people go into my old home. I didn't know if I could handle going in there, seeing where I grew up, and the people who are apart of my life. My body couldn't move and I noticed Happy was looking at me.
"You okay kid?" He asked me, looking at the mirror.
I looked up at his eyes, "I think so."
He turned around fully towards me, "If you want to leave, I'll be right out here."
I nodded and put the button behind my ear and pressed it. I then opened the door and made my way into the house.
There were quite a few people there. Family I haven't seen in forever, friends from my old school and Midtown, a lot of my teachers too. After I walked around the house for a little bit, I saw May, which meant Peter was here. I began to look for him when I saw my parents, my mom was in tears and my dad looked like he was trying to hold it together. I slowly made my way over to my parents.
"I'm so sorry for your loss," I said to them, making them look up at me.
"Thank you," My dad said, "I'm sorry but do we know you?"
"Uh... used to. I'm Elizabeth, Elizabeth Jennings."
"Now I remember," Dad started, "You two were the best of friends."
All I did was nod before saying, "She loved you two so much, please know that."
They both slightly smiled before I walked away, tears starting come to my eyes. I tried to make my way out but I ran into someone, almost falling, but they caught me. Next thing I know is I'm looking into the brown eyes I fell in love with.
"Are you alright?" Peter asked me.
I nodded and looked at the ground. There was an awkward silence between us and I looked to the side and saw a picture of me and him on the wall from our first christmas together, "How did you know her?" I asked him.
He looked at the ground, eyes starting to water, "We were together," We were both silent again, "I should have been here," I looked at him, "I could've been here for her. She might still be alive if I didn't..."
He trailed off and we sat down at the counter, "She never would have blamed you," I said to him, "She loved you... wanted a life with you."
"How do you know?" He said wiping his eyes.
"I knew her very well. We... we were very close," I said putting my hand on his shoulder. I wanted to tell him right then and there that I am right here in front of him, but I couldn't.
"I wanted a life with her. More than anything," Peter started, "I loved her so much and finding out that she..." He paused, "It's like a piece of me died with her."
I just stared at him for a second. Holding the tears back physically hurt, but I couldn't let go yet, "It's going to sound cliche but, she would want you to move on and know that what happened wasn't your fault."
Peter just stared at me. I could see the pure pain in his eyes and just looking at him hurt me more than anything. Knowing how much he has lost hurts even more. First his parents, then his uncle, now Tony and... me.
"You know," Peter started, "I denied it at first. I denied that she was gone because..." He trailed off.
"Because..." I pressed.
"I had a feeling," I looked at him confused, "Have you ever had that feeling, when you love someone so much that... when they're gone, you just feel it? You feel the whole world go up in flames around you then you go numb. The moment they die, you just know. You could be miles away from them, but you know that they are gone," I nodded slowly, eyes starting to water, "I never felt that when I came back. Even when I was told that she was gone, I didn't feel like she was."
"Do you now?"
Peters deep brown eyes stared into mine, "No."
I looked at the ground and smiled a little, but when I looked up, my smile faded. We hadn't noticed that my parents called everyone together. Peter and I joined the group of people.
"Thank you everyone for being here," My dad started, "As you know, our daughter was a bright one. By the age of five she had already memorized the periodic table of elements and we didn't know what to do with her," Everyone chuckled a little, "She always worked her hardest and was determined to do well in everything she did. When we heard what had happened to her during the five years, we were shocked. Finding out your daughter became a hero is scary, but never witnessing it, is torture," He paused, "Then finding out that months before the blip she had died, truly teared us apart. Along with her friends, classmates, teachers and her boyfriend, Peter," Everyone in the room looked to Peter who wiped his eye, "We just wish... We just wish we could have seen her grow up," I felt tears starting to form in my eyes, "We wish we could have seen her go to college and start her own life with the one she loved with her whole heart."
The tears from my eyes started to pour out, and I couldn't handle it anymore. I basically ran out of the house and looked for Happy's car. When I did, I jumped in, slammed the door shut and pressed the button behind my ear. The tears wouldn't stop spilling from my eyes and I told Happy to just drive. He didn't ask any questions, he just drove and I cried. When we got back to the house I stormed into it, and Pepper was sitting at the table. I was still crying. All Pepper did was hug me tight.
"I never should've gone," I cried, "It was a huge mistake. I couldn't handle it."
Then we heard light footsteps coming from the stairs, "What's wrong, y/n?"
I stepped away from Pepper and kneeled down in front of Morgan, "Nothing, I just had to say goodbye to a good friend."
She hugged me, "I'll be an even better friend for you."
I laughed at her cuteness, "I know you will."

Hello everyone,
Okay, okay... I know that I've been gone for a long time. A lot has been going since the last time I was active and I got distracted and was never able to update. I'm not going to lie.. I even forgot I had this account, but, I hope to be on this account more often and maybe continuing this story and others.
I am sorry for going MIA without a reason but once again, I hope to start writing again. I also have plans for the future of this story and I will include Far From Home things, just without the Peter and MJ stuff because... well... you know. This story is about you and him.
Anyway enjoy and yeah.
