Why?

( Kayla's POV ;) )

I was in my room texting my friends Wendy, Jake, Sam, and Alex when I heard my sister call me from the other room.

" KAYLA! GET YOUR ASS IN HERE! DAISY IS ON CALL AND SHE WANTS TO TALK TO BOTH OF US! " Jessie called to me.

" Ok, " I replied, turning off my phone and walking over to the living room. It's been a while since I've seen or even talked to her, so I was a bit excited to see and hear her.

" Ok, so, I really need to tell you guys something. You promise you won't judge me or get mad at me or get disgusted by me? " she said as soon as she saw me enter the camera view of the video call.

" Of course we won't judge you or anything. We love you, you're our sister, you helped raise us for god's sake! " Jessie told her.

" Yeah, why would we ever judge you in any way? " I added. I was lying, but I couldn't exactly be truthful. I might hate my sister Daisy, but I couldn't say that to her face. Ever since we were kids I've hated her. Her taste in clothing, her taste in music, her taste in YouTubers, her personality, her face, her laugh, her smile, everything. I also felt she always disrespected our mom. I looked up to our mom. She seemed so cool, she showed me that you can have children and have fun and party at the same time. I don't get what Daisy and Jessie have against that.

" Well, uh, I'm not sure how to say this..... " Daisy said. She seemed jittery and she lightly shuffled in her chair. She was wildly stuttering and clearly she was nervous. After a few minutes of silence, she finally fucking said something.

" I'm gay. " I couldn't believe what just came out of her mouth. Is she serious? I almost wanted to throw up. That's probably the worst thing that she could've said. How could she say that? How could she be gay? That's just so wrong. I stood there just pondering this disgusting situation.

" I have to go. " I said, realizing I hadn't listened to anything that had been said in the past 6 minutes or so. I began to walk off back to my room. 

" Wait, Kayla, don't go yet! " I heard Daisy say, but I didn't listen to her. I kept walking.

" Hey, Kayla, what the fuck is your problem?! " Jessie yelled at me. I stopped walking and turned around. Was she seriously asking this question?

" Daisy's the problem! Did you not just fucking hear what she said? " I said. I didn't want to start a fight, but if I had to I would.

" What do you mean? " Jessie asked me. What's with her and stupid questions today? Didn't she JUST hear me??! I was so angered I couldn't help but practically scream,

" SHE'S FUCKING GAY AND IT'S DISGUSTING! ARE YOU BRAINLESS OR SOMETHING?! "

" What has gotten into you? Since when have you been fucking homophobic? " Jessie asked me. I'm done with these stupid ass questions now.

" I don't even want to look at you anymore Daisy. " I said truthfully as I resumed my walk back to my room. I got into my room and instantly headed for my phone. I went onto the group chat that my friends and I were all in. ( Author's Note: K= Kayla, W= Wendy, J= Jake, S= Sam, and A= Alex ) 

K: Ew. Guys, someone just came out to me and Jessie as gay, can you fucking believe it?

J: The nerve of some fucking people. It's like they don't have any respect,

W: They don't call them wild and diseased animals for nothing lol

K: Ikr. I'm so disgusted. I don't think I can even look at them anymore without throwing up ew lmao

W: Then don't look at them. If you even look at them or wave to them I swear I won't ever be your friend again

K: Don't worry, I wasn't planning on seeing that disgusting freak ever again anyway

J: I gtg, bye guys, catch up with you later.

Jake has gone offline

A: I mean, I don't really see what's so wrong about it. Why does what gender they choose to love matter? 

W: Are you shitting me right now dude? It's not right, it's not natural. You can't love the same gender.

K: Yeah, what are you, gay? Only a gay person would be supportive of those freaks.

A: No, I just think it's none of our business who others love, you know?

K: No, I don't know. What are you, crazy? Get out of here with those idiotic opinions.

Alex has left the chat

W: Is he serious? He's going to regret leaving us like that.

K: Yeah, let's go harass him on Instagram to teach him his place lol

S: What is wrong with you guys? 

W: Don't tell me you're a homosexual lover too,

S: You guys are fucking toxic, I'm out. 

Sam has left the chat

K: Wow, what losers haha

W: Ikr lmao

K: I'm gonna go now, all this crazy talk in favor of the LGBTQ+ community is making me tired. Ttyl

Kayla has gone offline

I threw my phone to the side and then flopped down on my bed. I decided to take a nap. Today has been stressful so far.
