Character of the chapter: Raven!

Vampires and humans have always been full of enmity for centuries. We live among humans, but the humans believe that we are all threats that must be eliminated. The humans began to hire people of their kind to kill vampires, and at that point, we knew that they would slaughter us all. Just remember, Vanessa, vampire slayers will not exercise restraint just because you have human in you. They will kill you if they get the chance. Don't give them that chance.

Stay strong, Vanessa. I believe one day vampires and humans will come together in harmony and coexist in peace.

Tears streamed down Vanessa's face as she read the letter. Her sobs echoed throughout her dorm room, reminding her that these vampire slayers might view her as a threat and try to kill her. This is the truth about the vampire world, but now Vanessa is no longer the ignorant girl she has always known...

She knows that this is who she is...

CHAPTER 7
After calming down, Vanessa set her mother's letter down on a desk and walked towards a mirror in her dorm room.

She stared at herself in the mirror for a long time, thinking to herself what she could've done wrong, and even believing that she was the cause of her mother's death. The confused girl wondered why she never noticed that her mother was a vampire at all, calling herself stupid for being naive. Wanting to know if she has more than just a garlic allergy, she looked closer into the mirror; looking at her teeth.

After gazing at the reflection, two fangs emerged in her mouth!

Shocked, she let out a terrified scream and fell backward from the mirror.

On the floor and hyperventilating, she began to accept the fact that she has never been a true human... She is half-human...

The next night, Vanessa left her dorm room wearing a dark hoodie that covered her hair, hoping that she wouldn't be recognized by the other vampires who would torment her.

As she walked through the school to find her class, Vanessa stared at the ground and nothing else; however, this only drew more attention...

Throughout the school day, Vanessa was targeted by her bullies once again; however, this time it was worse...

In class, Vanessa had to sit at a desk with malicious graffiti such as "kill yourself!" and "withered venom freak!". Her classmates, no longer having respect for Vanessa, threw dirty chalk erasers at her face while the others pointed and laughed.

After school, Sylvia and her friends along with other vampires chased Vanessa through the school. They corned her by an incinerator at the side of the school. With a furious expression on her face, Sylvia grabbed Vanessa by the head and bashed her against the wall. Blood oozed from her head.
"You see? We don't care if you're even one-percent vampire," said Sylvia. "Now, I'll say this only once... Stay away from MY Edward!"

Still up against the wall, Vanessa's fangs appeared again, making everyone laugh. Amid the commotion, she heard a familiar voice in the distance...
"Get away from her!" a male voice shouted.
"Run!" shouted Raven as she and the others ran away.
"Get lost!" the voice shouted again.

The vampire walked up to Vanessa to reveal himself... It was Edward!
Vanessa looked up at the boy and said, "T-thank you..." who was healed by him.
"It feels good..." she said as Edward held his glowing finger above her head.
"O-Oh my god, Edward..." said Sylvia, who was still there. "I-I had no idea y-you were nearby!"
"Cut the curses, Sylvia!" scolded Edward. "I know what you did!"
Sylvia's tone changed. "Why are you helping her! She's nothing but a worthless human! A feeble pheasant who shouldn't even be here!"
"Who cares?" said Edward with a firm voice. "She might as well be a vampire. I don't appreciate you spreading lies on Batchat!"
"But... But..." stuttered Sylvia as she became nervous.
"I only talked to Vanessa that day because she was upset!" said Edward. "Her mom died! Didn't you know that? And then you went ahead and lied on Batchat that I slept with her! What the bloody hell is wrong with you, Sylvia!?"
"But... I was just..." stuttered Sylvia as she realized how ridiculous she acted.
"Don't even think of calling me "My Edward"! I never liked you, and I would never date a bully like you!"

The blondie was crushed by those words. With tears streaming down her face, she began to leave.
"Screw you, Edward!" she screamed loud and ran away.
When the coast was clear, Edward turned back to Vanessa and said, "Don't worry! They're not going to bother you anymore... I will protect you."

After that, Edward stayed by Vanessa's side and protected her if she came into any trouble again. They became good friends, and by winter break, they spent almost all their time together. Vanessa's friends even became jealous...

By the time March came around and the end of the school year approached, the students became restless. With the upcoming annual Vampire Star Academy dance, the female vampires were all scrambling around the school, looking to snatch their favorite guy as their date for the dance.

While Vanessa talked with her friends about who they would go to the dance with, Edward walked up to them with a rather unusual question...
"H-Hey... Vanessa?" he said with nervousness.
"Hi Edward," replied Vanessa. "What's up?"
"I wondered..." He began to blush. "Will you go to the dance with me?"

Vanessa's eyes widened as she too blushed. Her friends began to giggle.
"Ooh! He's serious!" joked Ivy.
"Say yes, say yes!" whispered Helena.

Vanessa replied, "Yes!"

END OF CHAPTER 7

The ship has officially sailed!

By the way, we are now just one or two chapters away from the climax of the story!

I did say that I was going to skip the rest of the school year after Chapter 6.

You are not going to believe what will happen in the next few chapters...

But, am I still not writing enough detail to make these chapters long?
